This is how it will go DH will go sign with the Mavs which leaves Lakers with all that cap at around the same time. So all the big name players will have to choose between Lakers or Mavs. So now free agents have to think go to LA or be 3rd option behind DH and Dirk...

Except Kobe wouldn't give up the spotlight, and it is unknown if he'd take less pay to benefit the team. Right now Kobe eats up over half the teams cap room. Between Howard/Nash/Kobe that is the entire Cap if both re-sign for max dollars (probably not even possible for Kobe to get his max given roster holds). Will Kobe take $10M or less to allow for a 3rd star?

A lot of people thought Dallas was 2nd on Howard's list last year behind Brooklyn. Of course, at one time they thought Howard & DWill in Dallas would be possible.

Plus i dont see any star that will be available in 2014 wanting to be 3rd fiddle to DH and Dirk.

The funny thing is, the only superstar that Dwight can win with in LA or Dallas will also relegate him to 2nd fiddle.

Man, every 15 minutes there's some new insider with info that contradicts what previous insiders said. Every random with ESPN in front of their twitter handle (or not) feels they have the answer. I'm not going to put stock in any of it. I hope he comes to Houston and I'll just wait and see.

Because, as he's said, he wanted to go through the process since he's never been a free agent before. Many players have done this when given the chance. There's nothing wrong with it.

What player side? Unless it's straight from Dwight then it's pure BS.

Dwight only has his agent and his agent's boss with him for all these meetings, he's also been pissed off at his agent for the leaks so.....

But who will Dallas sign next offseason? Remember, they'll be looking not just to add a 3rd star, but someone who can replace a then 36 year-old Dirk. LeBron is a longshot at best. And if the Heat pull off the 3-peat, it goes from a longshot to a no-shot.

I'm not saying in the end Dwight doesn't go to Dallas or remain in L.A. But gambling the remainder of your prime on the hope that some other big name free agent comes to the rescue a year from now doesn't strike me as the mindset of a winner.

Hmm the more this goes on I feel dwight will stay in LA. It sucks because he could really make a huge impacted for our team going forward. Oh well. Just glad we have 1 top 10 player.

It's between LA and Houston. If he won't sign with Houston bc we don't have a 3rd star why would he sign for less with Dallas who has 0 chance at a 3rd star and has an old 2nd star.

This is still a two-horse race between Houston and LA. Dallas doesn't scare me. Cuban's got a 35 year old former star who can't play at that level anymore... and nothing. Nothing else at all. A big three with a 36 year old Dirk is not a big three, not that you're going to convince LeBron, Wade, or Bosh to sign in Dallas anyway.
