Like sometimes I feel like I am okay but then I maybe have some Jack twice out of the week then I feel like a hot air balloon that everyone is gawking at. I suck it in and expect to feel better but it just comes spilling out. Then other weeks I eat a subway sandwich (6inch wheat) and my stomach doesn't stick out and it looks more like a little pouch. But when this happens I afford myself the pleasure of eating big things like a whopper or something. It turns out bad though because then I feel like Arnold from the movie Junior. I'm not the only one right?
I'm sort of the same way. But what I do to not feel like a fat **** is workout. I'll feel slim and fit for the days I keep a somewhat clean diet, but feel like a slob once again after eating pizza. Then I workout hard for a couple days and it all repeats itself. I've managed to keep off 60 lbs the past 4+ years, so what I'm doing works for me.
I'm slender. Not "skinny" at all, just not fat, and I don't have "fat days." I eat whatever I want, which can drive some members of my family a bit crazy. Guess it's my metabolism, or some goofy thing. I take lots of stuff to keep my lipids down, so maybe it's a side effect of that. However, I've known people who have "fat days," mostly women. After menopause, that seems to go away. Go figure.
Lift 3 days a week, run 2-3 times a week. I then blow it all by pounding like 8-10 beers at the park or beach on Sat, gorge on something greasy like pizza or tacos, then go out again that night -> thereby blowing the progress from the week (salad, fruit, veggies, etc).
Sundays during football season. Horrible. It's like 10 hours of straight football, eating, and intermittent napping.
I feel like that whenever I eat something unhealthy. Milk and a cookie or just a coke for example. Dairy and flour products make my stomach feel big. Start doing sit ups.
If I eat a bunch of salt, starch, alcohol, wheat, etc. I definitely feel it the next day, clothes are tighter, and so on. Also, as Larry the Cable Guy said, sometimes I take a crap so big my pants fit better afterwards.
I eat healthy and drink lots of water 6 days a week, then have 1 day I can eat or drink anything I want. I lost almost 40 pounds a few years ago and have managed to keep most of it off this way. I eat healthy during the week, then sloth on the weekends. So Saturday mornings are the day I feel the most healthy/slim because I've been eating healthy for 5 straight days. I like to feel good if I have a gig or other Saturday night plans. I usually start "porking out" (as my wife calls it) after I get home from a Saturday night gig....and continue all day Sunday. Then back to my healthy routine Monday morning. Only drawback is how crappy I feel on Mondays.
I eat extremely healthy Sun night - Fri morning. I binge drink 1 or 2 days in between and eat what I want, although that doesn't necessarily mean I eat terrible. Going from eating healthy to basically eating out, I think I've narrowed the crappy, unhealthy feeling as 70% sodium-induced and 30% processed foods-induced. Sometimes just sitting in the steam room rejuvenates me.
Yes, they are called weekends. I eat mostly paleo during the week and workout. Then when I'm off work on the weekends I eat out, drink up and don't really worry about it until Monday morning.
