Bc GS peeps said they could work on a Snt. The meeting was in LA? He didn't go out of his way. This is starting to feel like a presidential campaign. After every visit, said team is in the lead. It'll be Houston or LA, more than likely.
So, by championship caliber PG...you mean we should be trying to get a Mario Chalmers type of player? S&T Asik for Josh Smith and that will take care of our pf issue.
Once Howard gets his contract, he's going to shut up and play basketball. Plus, amazing things about contracts, he can't get released from it without the Rockets consent.
I'm not worried about GS yet. Trading him to the Warriors is a two piece to the face for the Lakers. You have to play against him in your division and you have to pay a ridiculously big tax bill just to suck next year.
We don't know and we aren't going to know. That's been hashed out repeatedly, so skip it. His track record during this offseason is good. Take his info with as many grains of salt as you like, but it's become clear that he's not throwing darts at a dartboard.
Most recently, he broke the Rockets hiring the former Magic strength and conditioning coach. Even Clutch "congratulated" him on breaking it a few hours before it became public.
I don't see Howard choosing GS since he knows it will take GS giving away talent in order to sign him. He'd have to be in love with the idea and the way he squeezed them in his schedule doesn't look like he's been interested throughout the season. I think it's a match media would like because its still the west coast and the Lakers come away with something. I'm sure Morey reiterated that we have assets to get better and it won't cost him anything to join.
Judging by Dwight's interest in two young teams with bright basketball futures, I think he's the Rockets to lose. Could be wrong, but that's how I see it.
And he was extremely adamant before Dwight went to the Lakers that was likely where he was going and he wasn't coming here, despite many of us believing the Rockets had the best package available for Henigan. Now... he IS giving a lot of "OPINIONS" in the last few minutes, however...
Lin in a vacuum is a better player than Chalmers but Mario is a better fit with Miami and Houston. Besides, you could probably put 30~40 of league's PG with Lebron/Wade/Bosh and still win a championship. That is not a testament to the PG but more so the trio. Understand context.
That's what scared me last time, and that's what scares me this time. Last year, at the mercy of an organization, and this year at the mercy of a free agent player's brain.

The TV deals are because Dwight has an engaging personality and wants to be popular on and off the court. And yes, I suppose Dwight can get hurt again, but he's not going to voluntarily sit out and ruin his basketball career after signing this deal. He cares way too much about his image to go through that again.
Still think Dallas has a pretty good chance. I think lakers, Dallas, and Houston all have 33.3% chance of signing him.
