I'd take Hickson for Asik GLADLY if they also gave us C.J. McCollum. Not sure why they even drafted him when they have Lillard. He won't be getting as many minutes as he should. Perhaps they drafted him to use as a trade piece?

    McCollum
    Harden
    Parsons
    Hickson or Josh Smith
    Howard

That would be a nice lineup. McCollum is also a great shooter.

As I said, it would make it so the dollars were even in and out (so no additional salary taken on for the next 2 years) and I don't really think Lin fits. Especially if Smith is added with Howard and next to Harden.

And it extends those assets (McCollum) so that they are all in for Dwight's entire 4 years and not dealing with Lin in two seasons.

I actually think being able to reassess Lin's contract in 2 yrs is a good thing. It provides us w/ wiggle room should we want it in 2 yrs. What I don't get is exactly why you're (seemingly arbitrarily) somewhat fixated on not adding any additional salary for the next 2 yrs? We're no where near the luxury tax.

Do not trade Lin, we need him to be the Mario Chalmers of The Houston Rockets.

If #Sixers could get Asik for 2nd-rounder, would you do it? Lots of pros and cons. I would love Lin at Chalmers salary. No way I would even consider moving Lin if he came at the Chalmers price tag.

GTFO here. Hickson doesn't do a single thing better than Smith.

I wonder what Morey would consider reasonable value for Asik. It seems to me that if Kyle Lowry could get us a lottery pick, Omer Asik should be able to net at least a lottery pick + a 2nd round pick.

Unfortunately Brian Colangelo is no longer a GM in the NBA.

Philly writer is apparently uninformed about the Rockets cap situation.

But if Rockets have to dump salary to sign DH, they won't have much bargaining power.

Fair point. Nor is Kahn or Peotrie.

    How about a late 1st rounder + 2nd rounder?
