I want to be dwight right now. The attention must be great. Yes, houston does sound great....i do like the idea of playing on the mavs. LA is a great city....lol he is teasing every one. I am sure he has his mind made up by now.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Hakeem Olajuwon on helping Rockets recruit Dwight Howard:"You C the kind of team that we have, including Dwight, that would be a contender."</p>— Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkBermanFox26/statuses/351818205540515841">July 1, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
And Mayo and at least one of Marion/Carter are gone if the Mavs sign Dwight, so you're back to the drawing board.
If he is willing to wait a year I still put LA ahead of Dallas. He gets a player option 5th year (good insurance in case he gets injured), and LA would have a better shot of luring free agent superstars in 2014 than Dallas.
All this speculation is killing me. I just made a twitter account just to follow all the relevant gossip lmao
"... with Tyson Chandler, Jason Terry, Jose Juan Barea, Jason Kidd, and yes, if you remember, Peja Stoy-ak-o-vich playing major roles." - They'll of course leave that part out.
So what? They went from champions to a lottery team in 2 seasons. They refused to keep anyone from that championship team; Miami didn't do that when they won the title. Why would you want to go to a team with a cheap owner?
Not even close. Where is Terry (starting point guard), Juan Barea, Jason Kidd, Brewer, Caron Butler (although he was hurt for most of it)...not to mention they are all two years older.
I don't like it anymore than you do but it is what it is. The guy wanted to be a free agent so he could be the center of the circus. The fact that he decided to become a FA doesn't mean he won't be back in LA next season.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Hakeem Olajuwon on taking part in Rockets meeting last night with Dwight Howard: "I think it went very well. It's promising."</p>— Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkBermanFox26/statuses/351819387734462466">July 1, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Dirk was 32 when they beat the heat. He is now 35. That lame **** wont work, because him and marion are the only ones left from that roster and marion is 35 as well. Lame pitch is lame. Also, can the mavs even bring back oj mayo if dwight signs there? He is unrestricted and they would be at the cap limit. The roster would be larkin, marion, carter, dirk, howard, and 2 second rounders.
Would you guys quit quoting posts that you know we are gonna come down on? Its a pain in the ass to try to get rid of them when more quoted posts popup just as quick as I delete them.
Dallas and LA if I am not mistaking. LA of course is going last. Cyber is saying we may have a decision by Thursday. Hopefully we do.
