@SeanCablinasian: So far @KolacheFactory @beefnbunhou and @NicksPlaceHou stepping up w/ free food for Dwight in the #DwightAThon. You're welcome @dmorey...
Agents usually send interns and lower assisting staff into finding houses for players. Personally I think it was too soon to be doing any of that. People on Dwights end seeing if they can find a way IF he does stay in LA to keep his "permanent" residence in FL so that he can get away with some taxes etc. Many famous people do things like this.
Well seems like DH really trying to rot his prime years over money and fame. What a shame it will be to watch this go down!!!
Sigh. I was holding onto faint hope that we'd be able to get a commitment from Dwight on the spot. I still think the odds are in our favor, but this is going to be an incredibly nerve-wracking couple of days. Would love it to end tomorrow night, but with Dwight, who knows.

Thanks, it makes sense now. Especially because I just cant see this icon lying about something like that. On this being a 2 horse race between Houston and the Lakers, I actually feel a whole lot better about that because Cuban scares the heck out of me. Heck of a salesman.
People need to realize that not all insiders are inside the same clique/group. An insider within Dwight's agency could get different info from an insider within the Lakers or Rocket. They could both be right based on their own perception of things.
The one thing I keep going back to is how convincing Dwight and his team are in every media interview that it's about the basketball. This would have to be the ruse of all-time, if a TV show and a few Hollywood celebs ends up putting him back with the Lakers.

Plus he hates Kobe and the Lakers. We went back and forth with those stupid photos he made in all white. Anything to make the Lakers worse, Slim will do.
They already know if he can keep his permanent residence in FL or TX and still play in LA, it isn't a complicated issue and is one that a number of people deal with.... an agent would easily know the answer, there is no real investigation necessary.
The Heat didn't get a commitment from any of their stars til after "the decision". There is no reason Dwight would or should give a commitment before even meeting with the other teams first. He can't sign til the 10th any way. To me, barring some unexpected trade, I just don't see any other real contender other than Rockets and Lakers, and Lakers seem like such a long shot after what he went thru last year, which he described as hell. Half the Laker fans want him gone, he will be blamed for all their failures, and odds are they will be even worse this year with no Kobe for an extended period. Rockets make the most sense basketball wise, but then again I thought a trade with the Rockets by Orlando made more sense than sending ANOTHER all star center to the Lakers last year, so only time will tell.
