You said last night, before all this started, that the meetings were largely a "Dog and Pony Show" and that you had Houston in front. That still the case?
I think the "could care less" was directed at the fact that Hakeem would not be a part of the Rockets daily. I'm sure he appreciated him being there, but probably wasn't leverage if he wouldn't be there every day....

Here's a few reasons: 1. He likes Smith's defense 2. He thinks if he gets Dwight there is a possibility of acquiring Smith relatively cheaply. 3. He knows Smith has in playing both in Houston and alongside Dwight.
Dwight loves to be loved so Mitch showing up before Houston means a lot to Dwight. Yeah, I have no idea.
Agreed, and many thanks for all of your info. Ignore those who hate on you just for reporting what you hear. Homerism at its worst.
You would think that he has to have some sort of inclination as to where he will sign but so far his indecisiveness is disappointing. I believe that if he really wanted to be in LA, he would or resigned like CP3. BTW - A Houston sports icon said he knows that Dwight's people were here looking at houses Friday. He's beloved here in Houston and many dont think he'd EVER lie. What's your take on that? Do you think Dwight could of sent his people to all the possible locations to get some pricing? Is that a normal thing?
Ugh, better not be a plan B and I like the fact cyberx says Dwight doesn't really care much for Josh.

I am more and more thinking that Dwight will give the Lakers the benefit of the doubt, if they can make him feel half way important he will re-sign.
Didn't say you did, just wondering where you getting your info from. And wondering why all these experts don't have the same info. The majority is saying Howard wont be going back to the Lakers. Even Kobe himself said he is not going all out to convince the man.
