Dwight would be a fool, Mavs are going nowhere this year and it's not like Dirk is still a star in the next few years. Here he has Harden and a chance to grow with Parsons who could become an All-Star maybe or a chance of getting a third star.
whos this clown.. I think he meant to put Rockets are likely to ink the deal.. Is this guy legit or what???
Stein needs to do better research before doing his work. Otherwise, he will sound like a fool. Smh...
Dwight hasn't even met with the Mavs yet, so why would they be the favorites going in? There is nothing in Dallas to suggest they will be contenders this year, and all they can really offer is the promise of becoming contenders in two years, when Dirk will be turning 37 and potentially not even a star any more. It's not impossible that they could find some way to sell the Mavs to Dwight, but to say that they are the odds on favorite just doesn't make much sense.
The only way that would make sense to me is if Paul were going there too. But with CP3 staying with the Clippers, it makes absolutely no sense. The Mavericks would have to completely rebuild around Dwight. The pieces are already in place in Houston. Morey would merely need to tweak the roster - not build from the ground up around him.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Everyone and their mothers have labeled us as the odds on favorite, yet a team that Dwight hasn't even met with is all of a sudden the favorites? Don't buy it.
He'll be considered the biggest loser in the NBA but alas the Mavs can't even trad away enough player to AFFORD Dwight.
I know all the reasons he shouldn't go to Dallas...still doesn't mean that he won't. I can add about 20 more reasons, most of them revolving around how bad Dallas sucks. My question was about Schultz, specifically.

I hope he goes to the Mavs if he doesn't come here. It will be fun to hate and it's not like he's going to lead them anywhere with that roster.
One thing about the Mavs is that he won't be in the shadow of any all time great centers from Dallas. He'll automatically become the best Mavs center ever the first game he plays.
I trust cyberx's opinion more than this Schulz dude. Cyberx said it's rockets or lakers and I believe that's the case.
