I'm hearing that there's "too many smiling faces here(Toyota Center)" from a friend that works there. He seems confident we got him. Another thing that is quite telling is Yao being here the day after free agents are allowed to sign. Like he pretty much knows its a done deal.
Because Howard has to want to play with the remaining pieces. And while I know they went farther this year, the Warriors have a history but not a good one IMO. This could have just been a fluke year and reloading might set them back some. And you get a phone call from Curry? Really? If I was Howard, I'd be insulted. IMO it's: Rockets Lakers [Edit: moved the Lakers up a notch after reading about the TW meet. A reality show might be very intriguing to him though it would be a clear violation] Dallas Hawks Warriors There are just way too many need to get Xs done before they can play who gets Dwight.
You guys are amazing. Altough i should be upset i have not slept and now at work with zero sleep, and no work done. Thanks all for the updates n keeping clutchfans classy as always.
seriously! He said it while talking to Matt on his daily Astros check in. He said he kNOWS which house and the exact square footage he is looking for bec they told Milo directly. Sounded like it was in his neighborhood or through someone with direct dealing. He said, "here is the truth behind that rumor, HE was not here but HIS people definitely were." Why would Milo lie?!?
Reports that D12 is asking if Houston can add another max-level player to the roster along with himself. It's possible but is it the best path forward? 3 max-level guys and scrubs is a path I would like this team to avoid if possible. 2 max-level plus great role players would seem to be the less precarious path towards building a great, long-lasting team with multiple attempts at a championship.
Certainly. Let's say the Rockets need a little extra space to give Howard their full offer, they'd feel compelled to do a sign-and-trade. GS can take back 125% of salary as far as I know, plus add $3.2M in cash. The point is, we can't deal in absolutes. The Lakers may say no to any offer GS makes, but they can't purely dismiss the idea of a sign-and-trade if they believe they can't keep Howard.

There's a pic a few pages back of DH and Steph (allegedly) together this AM. I would feel better if someone could confirm it's an old photo.
Hawks are most likely out of it. I still feel he stays in LA, mostly because we haven't seen it before. Leaving LA and leaving more guaranteed money just doesn't happen.
I did a search for it and couldn't find it. So I would say that it is new or never posted on the web.
I explained further along why it could possibly work. Dwight has to give clearance, but outside that GSW could perform the best S&T. Only if Dwight wanted to go. On top of the that.. there are reports that the Lakers want no part of a S&T. So there you go. Lakers wouldn't mind taking on Bogut 1 yr deal, a nice young player in Thompson. On top of that. GSW would still be a solid team. They are still developing as a team so its TBD.
The Warriors are in the tax, so IF they were to still be over the taxline after the trade they would have to use the taxpaying matching rules (125% + 100,000)
They still have Metta and Blake that can be amnestied as well. They won't amnesty Blake over Metta, so it will be MWP/Gasol/Nobody.
