But if Dwight is intrigued by GS. Then things change. S&T is very feasible.

And NOTE. That source thats confirming howard to houston also said something similiar earlier. The other guy is just RT it (Speculation)

Id say let the Warriors get in on that one. We can still snag someone else this offseason and keep our young core w/ Asik.

I dont think Howard on the Warriors without Bogut & Klay or Barnes would be very dominant. Those are key pieces that will set their franchise back a few steps when we are already there.

So Dwight can't get the full max and still gets hammered by state taxes? Why would he agree to that?

Yes, but Woj has backed off of his Kobe fawning of late. I think Berger is trying to pick up that slack, so to speak.

Dwight has to agree to go there first. I don't see that happening since they would be trading away the assets that makes appealing .

Curry is injury prone, Lee is soft, and just to get Dwight in town, they have to give up two of there major pieces.

I dont think Klay or Barnes have star potential.

    Right

but IF they decided to SnT Howard, I could see them wanting Barnes or Thompson for their future...but when you throw in Bogut or Lee...then it becomes a no-go. Both of their contracts are too big and long for the Lakers to seriously consider taking them on.

Money. You can talk all you want about winning but it all comes down to money. The Lakers TV contract is worth a ridiculous amount. Time Warner has to protect their investment.

Lakers want cap space or young rookies

the warriors are offering Thompson OR Barnes - not both

Either player plus Bogut's contract is not an offer worth entertaining.

If both Thompson and Barnes were included - now thats a package worth looking at but Bogut's contract sours the deal - also Bogut is constantly injured

Quick question. When do Dwights meetings finish up? He met with us yesterday. I am hearing Dallas today. When is he done meeting teams?

We all speculate that the Lakers would want this or that... (Speculation) honestly i can see them accepting an offer from GS (whatever it may be) if Dwight was to give them the go. I do believe they would take on Bogut.

Bogut, Thompson, Barnes...The Lakers are going to be decent with that haul plus if they keep Nash and Gasol around then who knows?

I don't think the Lakers want to be decent if they lose Howard. They will go into straight tank mode and get rid of Gasol and perhaps even Nash

You guys do realize that tv contracts are part of BRI, which is shared amongst all the NBA teams....right?

In other words....the Lakers did not get to keep all that money themselves.
They can be there all they want, I dont see how it makes a difference in his decision.

The Lakers are the last team he is going to meet with, apparently. And he's meeting with them tomorrow.

So? Klay was not that good last season. Barnes is a nice player, but not when you have to take back Bogut and other pieces.

Also, why would the Lakers want to help another California team? The Rockets offer of Asik and Lin would be just as good..... but in reality, the Lakers probably want cap space above all else.

Howard cannot "force" himself to GS, they cannot sign him.
