It is a confusing tweet LOL.

I think it explains that the Howard camp was pretty pleased with Houston's pitch.

Warriors present a nice alternative if Dwight pushes LA to do a S&T, even though it's a long shot, you never know

I need more elaboration on this. Who are his peeps, and what was Broussard first with? Dwight's interest in coming to Houston??

    I totally agree.

Rumors are out that Houston could move Asik to clear room to sign Smith. But that's not enough for another max, of course.

I hope people don't get too greedy here. Miami made sacrifices for their team coming together, Houston may need to do the same.

I don't begrudge Smith or Howard anything, but let's get this done.

Underrated selling point of Houston's is Harden/Parsons/etc telling him how well Dwight would fit in in the Houston locker room. Everybody knows Dwight is all about having fun. Does a young, exciting team appeal to him more than the slow, aging team with poor chemistry from last year he had to endure?

    I'd say yes.

the whole am710 espnLA crew are desperately trying report positive news for Laker Nation.

Arash M, Ramona S, Dave M, Mike Trudell, etc...

I listen to to them every day try and spin something positive out of last season and this summer and upcoming season.

it's their job to be homers, and they are doing a great job at it.

Does anybody else feel like the good guy greg from a small town trying to convince the girl next door to be with him and not the scumbag steve lead singer in a crappy band that is "one break away from making it"?

Rockets: C'mon Dwight, we want what's best for you, we want championships.
Lakers: C'mon babe, we need help loading the van.

Kobe said he will retire in 3-4 years. Howard is looking at a 4-5 year deal. So you want him to wait until he is 30 years old for Kobe to be out of the way? All the while playing for an old, bad team and for an arrogant coach that he doesn't like?

Those guys took a bit less than max each but got the higher raises and extra year via sign and trade

at the same time both had made a decent amount of money in their nba career contract wise

Smith has not made as much money - If he can get the max I doubt he would turn that down and be willing to take much less

Warriors without Klay are not that intriguing.

Curry+Lee+Howard is still formidable without Thompson.
