Ummmm and Rondo is better than Lin .....yesterday, today and twice on Sundays....Rondo brings so much to the table as a PG that you can look past his Lack of a 3pt shot.

you guys kill me thinking lin is much better than he is (at least at this time but he can and will improve).

 

rondo is trash guys. his boston teams were bottom 5 offensively every year. he's not just a bad three point shooter, he's a bad shooter period. his assist #'s didn't result in anything for those celtics teams offensively. there was a reason the celtics actually improved offensively/defensively when rondo got injured. the only reason they fell off after a while was cuz their true impact player kg got injured.

the infatuation some of you guys have with rondo especially on a team that has harden, and ideally howard is perplexing to say the least. he's the last pg i'd want on this team.

 

Rondo is one of the most ball dominant guards in the league. No way does he agree to play off the ball next to Harden.

 

The question isnt whether Lin is better or worst than Rondo. The question is given the team setup with Harden and Howard would rondo or lin fits better?

I am not against keeping or trading Lin as long as we get something of an upgrade in return. That upgrade doesnt have to be a PG to PG upgrade. it could be 2 for 1 deal or a 2 to 2 deal where we are using Lin as bait for someone in another position.

Rondo would not fit with Rockets, specially he will take the role of Harden. Harden is your Ball handler and we need a PG that can shoot and spread the floor with Harden penetrating and Howard inside.

Rondo and Parker are both better PG than LIN, but none of them can shoot the 3.

 

Rondo is a good player, but, honestly between the two of them for the hypothetical team being discussed, I'd prefer Lin.

 

rondo's shooting would be a detriment to almost every team in the league. and make no mistake, it has been for boston too. then you want to put him in a role where he'd be spotting up more than he ever would be?

 

Rondo and Parker cannot shoot 3 but they have the guts to play better on big stage.

 

I'd take Rajon Rondo 9000 times out of 9000 over Lin.

We don't need him to score. He's a PG that can break down the defense and get people shots. He's an UNBELIEVABLE rebounder for a guard.

I think he's already top 5 in career playoff triple doubles, tied with Larry Bird....and he's only 26.

For his assists alone, he's 10 times the point guard Lin is.

 

It's no issue to be german and love dirk, aussie love bogut, asian love Lin or whatever, as long as they're on our side, but what pisses people off is when player only fans denigrate Mchale/Harden whoever when it was CLEAR Lin's early season struggles were all of his own accord.

 

This. It is about what fits into the system, not who is the best. Someone that is deadly from three and can dish out the ball in a smooth offense is what we need. Not hating on Lin, but his strong suits don't match up well with the team with the way that it is structured. That being said, that contract he is on will be attractive to someone.

 

There's a lot to keep up with right now but is there really a discussion going on about Lin v Rondo? Holy smokes.

 

Panda agreed 100. Some of them jokers would talk mad sh-- about Harden and McHale and hype of Lin. Some would blame Lin flaws on everybody but Lin.

 

No. Only speculation.

 

I can only hope this doesn't blow up in our face like the aborted Gasol trade and we have a starting line up with guys that don't really want to play for the franchise afterward and the targeted superstar is elsewhere.

If you take Rondo, you are going to look like the Lakers last season. Lots of good pieces that won't work as a team.
