Why? They didn't even miss him in the playoffs.

I think swapping Stoudamire and Lee would work out for both teams. seriously. the papers will say, welcome back,in his prime. amare is capable of putting up 19,9,3 mumbers, especially with curry as your leader. pkus he is more athleticthan david lee. and cn shoot almost as well.

    Possibly relates to this?

Nobody want stoudamire. Knicks would happy to get rid of him for free.

I assume they asked for more, tbh. I don't see them offering Lee for Aldridge and then for Bargnani straight up. They probably asked for Bargnani + picks or such.

Also, is that team a contender with Lee?
    Lowry
    DeMar
    Gay
    Lee / Amir Johnson
    Valanciunas

That could be a solid playoff team but they have too many issues with defense and spacing to really go far. And the window would be very short. So, what's the point.

Ujiri will probably go in the opposite direction -- collect some picks, sell some parts a la Morey, and then try to get that legit "foundational player" in the draft or via trades.

In the next few days we are going to hear rumors about DWH S&T to GS/Clippers.

If the rockets weren't in the Howard sweepstakes i'd actually be really interested in getting Lee.

Lol yuck to playing smith/delfino as our starting 4. I'll take 20-10 DLee as our PF 9/10 times after last season.

I'd rather watch Smith, Jones and Motiejunas develop there than sign an injury prone 4 that plays worse defense than Harden.

If Amare is the best they can get for Lee I'm pretty sure they will keep Lee.

Toronto stands for Tank City. This is a good plan for them.

In order for his team to contend, David Lee needs to play for a team with a physical, paint-shutdown presence at C plus some physicality in the perimeter positions. He doesn't fit well at all on the Warriors. He's talented but redundant on that team.
