    I can guarantee that the Calderon deal is not happening. Rumors like that never happen, especially with the Rockets. If Lin gets traded, it will be somewhere else.

    Can't make sense of any of this. If the CP3 news didn't break last night, I'd be sh**ing my pants. Right now? I'm just confused. Calderon for Lin in a vaccuum makes ZIP, ZERO, NADA sense.

    While I'm sure both players are available for trade, it does seem like there's more rumblings of Lin being traded than Asik. This seems to imply that Morey put a pretty hefty price tag on Asik, while Lin is more plausible.

    Personally I would only trade Asik for a special player. Maybe not the Aldridge/Love level of talent, but a bit below that. But defense has generally been underrated in trades and I'm not sure Asik can bring back equal value.

    Morey is trying to get the New Orleans 2014 1st round pick from his boy Sam. That way Morey doesn't have to take back salary and can sign another free agent. Jose Calderon on a 2 year deal.

    And if the Rockets still have their 1st round pick for next year that would give them two picks in the 1st round with some 2nd round picks. That would give Morey the opportunity to move way up in next year's draft.
