I potentially envy you for that. You potentially have removed CWarren from her life.

Would really like to see them moved for assets. Maybe open enough space to sign Millsap or Iguodala in addition to Howard.

While I love the idea of having Asik or Howard defending the rim at all times, I understand spending $29mil at the center position just isn't an option.

    Lin >>> Calderon.

Any trade for Lin will mean that the Rockets give up their 2014 #1 pick.

asik possibly had the best season he could have. its the perfect time to trade him. asik + d12 would be redundant, plus they cant shoot.

+1. Amazing how so many people here are so positive on this. Talk about hopes overcoming reality.

Doubt Calderon is a Rocket. Usually there are no leaks prior to a trade being struck during the Morey regime.

Thats what I am talking about. Rockets should not trade Asik. I think Lin as well because of his impact on Rockets marketing and fans in Asia. A lot of people in Asia would wear Howard's jersey because of Lin.

It's inevitable. Think back to last year when there was NO WAY the Magic could find another team to trade Dwight to because Houston's offer was too good to pass up.

Personally, I'm just as confident about it as last time. Last time I was through the roof with excitement and anticipation. :p

It'd be nice if we got Greg Monroe with Calderon. His skills would go well with Dwight,

Lmao. Kobe is the most popular player in Asia. If they're not wearing Dwight's jersey now, they're not going to start.

I don't believe the Calderon part, nor the "they'd have to get a starting point guard in return" part.

Just doesn't make sense, unless you're talking about a big time upgrade which doesn't seem to be very likely at all.

I think the Rockets may have thrown around the idea of swapping PGs in conversations to simply keep leverage. If you start off by saying "how about Lin for cap space", even the team that like Lin probably would raise questions about why the Rockets are so quick to get rid of him.

Obviously that's just me speculating, but I think Beverley, Canaan, vet PG/combo guard (e.g. Toney Douglas) would get the job done. No need for Jose Calderon-ian players.

Why the hell would Boston trade Rondo for Lin and Asik? Rondo is by FAR the better player and a top 10 guy in the league IMO. If he trades Rondo, Ainge is NOT going to take back Lin and Asiks salaries for the next 2 years. That's stupid. Again, be realistic.

I feel like Calderon is a downgrade from Lin. Offensively he's better...but we get slower and older at the point and I'm not sure I like that.

I just don't want a weak non-defensive backup center (i.e. Greg Smith). I was hoping we would keep Asik. If not, maybe get Dalembert? But maybe has nothing left in the tank....

I disagree. I think he has it in him to improve offensively.

If trading him is what it takes, I'm fine with it. I think he's the type of player you need for a long playoff run, though.

Guys, has anyone thought about the fact that this is all happening RIGHT AS THE HOWARD/ROX PARTIES ARE PREPARING TO MEET?!?!?

How can the Howard camp take this other than "Holy S*it, these guys are serious", and then Morey and Co. show up a few minutes later and tell them how fu**ing serious they are, this is no BS, they are going to WIN, we are making a championship team for you RIGHT NOW..."

If nothing else, the cojones on display here are impressive. This will go down in Rockets history - one way or another.
