I think Bima went with Hakeem and Clyde to Howards house

Great move by Morey. This deal is so under-the-radar I'd have done it even without the Dwight-chase that looms in the background.

Thomas Robinson, first and foremost I will say is a great person and an awesome guy all-round. However I do not think he has a role on this team to play going forward, and I have my doubts on whether he will become a productive player in due time and so now is a great opportunity to get rid of him while his perceived potential is still there and he can be be fitted into a better situation.

Question, does this mean we have now got enough cap-space to offer Dwight a max contract? Because I'd think it would be totally ridiculous if we can't even offer him the most obvious contract (the max) when we are pursuing him so hard on all fronts.

So basically they send Thomas Robinson to Portland for a bag of chips.

The Rockets are oozing with confidence that they will lure Howard from the Lakers, and are making contingency plans to construct the team around him. "They already have him, if you talk to them," one league source said. CBSSports.com

If by "a bag of chips" you mean "the rights to four players".

Reports are two second round picks AND the rights to two already drafted players in Europe.

Pretty good haul if ya ask me.

We should have tried to include Royce White in the trade. Personally I would have been happy getting nothing back if they got him off our hands

European chips, which are like fries. I'd rather have cheesy bacon potato wedges to be honest

I would say quite to the contrary....
with the new CBA (and the addition of max contracts), 2nd rd pix are gold nowadays... 2nd rd rookie scale contracts are cheap and yer lockin up possibly a top 40 prospect for a few years (see Chandler Parsons) on the cheap...

Anyone else worried that we just traded for Justin Bieber?

The Greek guy sounds very intriguing to me, R2K. We could have something there. Don't know a thing about the other fellow, or the details of the 2 picks, but I'd call it a good haul, considering everyone in the league knew we had to move Robinson.

I never thought Royce would get playing time ever for the Rockets, but I actually expect him to be on the court this year. For the sole purpose to show he has some value and can be dealt before the trade deadline for nice pieces or picks

This is an awesome haul for Robinson.

You couldn't have gotten a better return for the player we are trading away.

Not one, not two, not 3, but 4 legitimate second rounders??? With great potential in terms of trade value and finding solid players with bargain contracts??

I LOVE THIS MOVE. BEST TRADE OF THE OFFSEASON.

Kostas sounds really good. In the draft video when he got drafted by the Knicks, the announcers were saying he could be a first round pick but he's a draft and stash guy. They also said he could be an all star. I like him from what I have seen and so did the announcers. However, his weakness is shooting

The way I see it, if they get at least one great role player or two good ones out of the four players, they can call the whole transaction a good one. How good will be determined when we hear the rest of the details of the picks.

The Greek kid looks interesting, and apparently he really wants to come over bad...someone posted an article mentioning how his agent requested he be moved so he could get an opportunity to play in the NBA next year. We certainly need some swingman depth so hopefully he has some NBA game and the guts to stay thru the rough patches unlike the last Greek child we had here.

Papanikolau is a solid pick. Todorovic is another thing. Too raw even for spanish league. Right now so fr from becoming an NBA prospect.

Papanikolau is a hard nosed SF; good team guy, high HQ, few mistakes, a winner... good size, can help you in different ways. Could be an interesting NBA player.
