If we cant get Howard, we can go after Bynum or David West but I hope Howard can come here.

I sure hope Morey doesn't feel like that. We made the playoffs last year. We will get better as is (even if Delfino and Brooks gone and *blank* player to replace him). Then we go for another home run with Lebron. Bynum will never play a full season or long enough to matter and West doesn't make us a contender. We want to contend or have available pieces to move for contention.

If we don't get Dwight, there's no need to panic. We would do best just to go after an expiring like Pau and wait until the next year while our team gets more experience. Unlike LAL and DAL we're good for the next 5 years with options to improve. No need to over leverage ourselves....

This night is Daryl Morey's superbowl. This is the biggest proposal of his career. Sure, getting Harden had/has more impact. But this move will move us as contenders WITH room to grow for 3-4 years. This is huge. This won't break us; but, it def. will make us.

I agree 100%. That's the beauty of it. There is no need to panic. Our future is one of the brightest in the league and we are at the beginning part of our window to make moves, not the end.

Yeah, if we don't get Dwight, we don't need him anyway. We are still a good team without him. We still have Asik and we are one star away from becoming serious contender. Maybe David West is perfect for us.

The people that are saying Lin is gone are the ones that have always wanted him gone. They will just use any situation as a new reason why he'll be gotten rid of. In reality these people have no idea what's going to happen, and the Rockets have given no indication they are eager get rid of Lin.

Without the reassuring voice of Jerry Buss, the late Lakers owner whose eleventh-hour phone call prevented Kobe Bryant from going to the Clippers in 2004, the Lakers are turning to two veterans to help keep Dwight Howard in Los Angeles.

Bryant and Steve Nash will be part of the Lakers' delegation that meets Tuesday with Howard to try to persuade him to sign a five-year, $118-million contract.

They'll be joined by Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak and Coach Mike D'Antoni. Team executives Jeanie Buss and Jim Buss are also expected to attend the meeting at an undisclosed Los Angeles location.

Yeah send D'antoni and Bryant. Loving the Lakers plan here, clearly they are going for Wiggins.

I feel like this is one of the worst teams they could have assembled for the job.

Oh, make no mistake...THIS.. IS...ALL IN...almost time to flip the cards up..The tells/betting DO say Houston. Without Howard, Les's whole win it all without rebuilding likely falls short.....That magnificent b*stard, Morey has put us in position to pull this off...

So D'Antoni, Kobe and a 40-year-old point guard will be there. Phil won't. Jim Buss, the guy that chose MDA and retained him, will be.

    This is laughable.

it's like the equivalent of rolling a wheelbarrow full of kryptonite up to his house with that 5-year $118M contract buried in it
