    I am curious. This might be a question for Bima.

    Players get out of their current contracts and renegotiate with their teams on occasion. Richard Jefferson did. I believe Tim Duncan did. I can only think of situations where it is for less per year so they can extend the life of guaranteed money.

    Would the Rockets be able to sign Dwight to a 4-year max deal with the 4th being player option, yet on the second year, renegotiate for a max contract for the same life as Lakers would this year at max money, giving us the financial leverage against even the Lakers? I do not think it can be done, due to how follow-up contracts work in ways of percentages (I think). But, I am sure if no one has done it, yet it is within league rules, Morey will pitch it.

    Keith Jones, if I'm not mistaken, has been around the NBA for quite some time and is very well-known/respected.

    Maybe Keith Jones would tell Howard that Houston has the best medical center in the world, so if Howard has any injuries, Houston will help him heal quickly as possible!

    Keith Jones will be entering his 23rd season in professional basketball and his 16th as athletic trainer with the Houston Rockets. Jones, who was promoted to Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations/Head Athletic Trainer on Sept. 5, 2007, oversees player relations and basketball operations for the Rockets, including all team travel arrangements, the equipment staff, strength and conditioning, as well as treatment and rehabilitation of the players.


    During the 2008 Summer Olympics, Jones served as a team athletic trainer for the 2008 U.S. Men’s Olympic Team (8-0) that captured the gold medal in Beijing, China.

    Howard was on that team.

    2008 Olympic games I think Jones was the fitness guy for them.
    Dwight was there.
