    I have to think Nick Nurse is a Rockets assistant candidate also. Sampson, Bickerstaff and Finch have all been in interviews or rumors for head coaching spots.

    We're being picked clean.

    I hope that if he goes anywhere it's to the Rockets. Since the Vipers were able to win a title last year with all the personnel movement and that one #bewell guy being a distraction, I would think he is pretty good as a coach.

    I would think Nurse would know an assistant position will be available to him on the Rockets if not this coming year, then very soon.

    In some ways, I think it is better to be a DLeague Head Coach and your skills there as the man calling the shots, then to be a junior assistant coach. At least for 2-3 years.

    Especially with Finch being a head coaching candidate already, I'd guess the Vipers coaching gig isn't a bad one.

    I can't remember another time when it seemed like so many of our staff were sought after.

    Rio Grande Valley Vipers coach Nick Nurse will be hired to be an assistant with the Toronto Raptors, a league source confirmed with The Monitor Sunday. The Raptors are expected to officially announce the move in the next few days.

    Immediate efforts to reach Nurse on Sunday were unsuccessful.

    I'm a little surprised that Nurse left the Rockets organization as I had expected him to continue his partnership with Chris Finch at the NBA level.
