Fellas... he was averaging about $10M per year when he was 25 and entering his prime and being the "MAN" on a small market team. Also, let's not forget he was labeled as being injury prone prior to us getting him. He was durable for us and he's been healthy thus far for OKC but don't forget that was one of his biggest knocks. $8 Mil per year is probably the absoulute max he will get offered which I think is above his Fair Market Value if there ever was such a thing (there isn't because of the ridiculous contracts such as Rudy Gay and Joe Johnsons for example just to name a couple). The max I would give him his about 6M over 3 years or 5M over 4 years. He's 30 now and as good as his shot is when he's on and his knack for getting to the line he provides little to nothing else. He's not even a legit 3rd option anymore IMO he's a luxury 4th option. He needs to perform like a legit 3rd option in order for the Thunder to advance out of the West and I can't see him doing that. If he was 3 or 4 years younger and you paired him with a legit post center like Morey was trying to do when we had Yao then he might have been worth a gamble at 10M.... Which like I said is actually the average he is getting paid when he signed his original 5 yeat 53M contract back in 2008.
If KMart was in Orlando getting all the shots he wanted he would still see around 9 mil. That said, I think GM's will still value Martin higher.
I agree with most of your points except for the fact that KM isn't a legit 3rd option. KM's scoring at a TS% 0.61 this season, how's that not a great 3rd option? He shot creating ability isn't the best but as the 3rd option all he really has to do is score while the 1st and 2nd draws all the D, and he does it the right way too, by driving to the hole instead of chucking shot after shot like JR Smith. You said it yourself, 10M was more or less "fair value" for KMart in his prime, why would your 4rth option be worth 10M?
And, what he doesn't do (defend, rebound, make plays, hustle, perform in the clutch, etc.) he does very, very, poorly. He's definitely a good 3rd scoring option but if you're depending on him to be your 3rd best player overall you're not getting a ring. I'd be very surprised if the Thunder refused to pay Harden the new max salary starting at $13.6M and will give Martin a contract starting at $10M. By coming off the bench he no longer gets the scorers salary boost like he would have gotten averaging 20ppg here. And, as a sixth man he's not even in the same realm as Ginobili who averaged around $10M throughout the prime of his career. I'd expect to see Martin make about $7M, on par with other good role players.
As a 6th man, he is nowhere close to ginobili. That being said he is a solid 3rd scorer, and thats it. I thnk he would get around 7m a year or so.

His scoring was down but so was his minutes last season. I could see someone giving him $10m a year. I wish we could bring him back as a sixth man but someone will make him a starter with starter money.
No one wanted to listen. I said long ago watch as OKC won't even want him back. Dude is what he is, can shoot great but disappears in big moments when you really need him...and doesn't do much else.
Martin needs to go to Minnesota. He needs Adelman. Kevin Martin is a system player, needs to be in princeton offense to get the most out of him. Martin in OKC showed why Martin is not a go to scorer, when durant needed him the most, Martin was nowhere to be found. He cannot create his own shot. To make matters worse, refs are no longer calling his little offensive flops to get to the free throw line, so he's pretty much worthless. He's probably worth something around $5-$7 million a year.
He had his best years under Adelman so I think he could fit in. Kinda depends what they're doing at the 3 spot though since Kirilenko opted out.
Ellis Reddick Mayo all deserve 8 - 10 because they can all score and are relatively young. Smith KMart i think are around 6 million, MLE type players now in their careers.
