IMHO, Lin's game doesn't translate well to the playoffs

Playoff basketball is so much different from regular season. Defense is tighter, referees swallow their whistles and you have to bleed to score every possession. Lin's strengths are negated and his weaknesses are magnified. His key strength which is driving to the hoop and getting fouled is not going to be there and his weakness with his ballhandling is really exposed.

The reason I ask is because every damn time someone says something negative about lin everyone acts like he saved our season/led us to the playoffs and he is the only capable player to do so at that position. Get the hell out here hes nothing special, always non aggressive and terrible d.

    Bullies are annoying.

A couple of people left me rep messages for this thread. I don't know who you are if you don't leave your name in the message. There may be some way to know who it is without you leaving your name, but I don't know what it is.

Lin played as a real PG and did his game. That 's why he won. If he played in Rockets, he would be limited on time and points. I just don't understand why Rockets didn't want him to play like linsanity way. What's wrong with it? Will that make Rockets famous in the league and get more attention? Will that bring more business to the Rockets? The only reason I think is Mchale didn't believe in him or jealousy of his sudden fame because he was undrafted and cut before. Look at Danny Green from Spur, like Jeremy Lin,he was Cut several times too but did great job.

Some negative, some positive. One person addressed me by name but I have no idea who it is, so I wrote that post.

Negative reps are part of the territory. I'm a big boy, I can handle it.

You got that response because people like you always blame Lin everything, always negative about him. Yes he is not the only one who helped Rockets into playoffs, nobody is. It's teamwork. But if somebody blamed him for losing postseason, that's totally unfair and absurd. Lin was injured and a non factor in postseason.why you don't blame other players like Harden, Beverly to lose the game? They didn't do good in the last game too. So be careful for what you said. You blame other people, people will blame you.

It's not only Lin who didn't do good in postseason, many other experienced players played poorly in playoffs, such as JR smith, Jason Kid...etc. This was Lin's first playoff time, why you can not give him some time to get used to it.
Why you are so negative about him. Harden was not good in playoffs last year too. But Rockets pushed him to a superstar even he was the number 1 TO machine and missed many shots. Don't use double standards to judge people. Be fair.

I feel like every time I see your username, your post has the word "bruise" and often misspelled. I can't seem to search posts by user though so I could be mistaken.

What? Harden was the main contributor to OKC's victory over the Spurs. He only choked in the finals against the Heat. To suggests that Harden sucked on the same level as Lin in the playoff is an insult to Harden. (Yes I know Lin was injured.)

Look, everything Lin-related, be it positive or negative, has been discussed to death for a long period of time. I really don't see the point of people attacking or defending a member of the Rockets using the same points over and over again. The best thing to do now is to wait and see if Lin improves for next season (if he's not traded by then), and then maybe people can find new materials to attack/defend him again.

This pretty much sums it up. Rockets don't want him to play like linsanity way, because it will make the rockets famous in the league and get them more attention.
