That trade was quality and quantity. Such a marvelous trade. I'm all for going quality here on out. We have enough organizational prospects who can produce in the minors, pass on knowledge and keep the farm teams competitive at every level (like now) and learn how to win. Bud Norris should get atleast one (Jonathan Singleton and maybe a Brett Wallace level prospect) Would not trade Altuve and Castro (they are glue guys around Singleton, Springer, Correa, Santana if they reach full potential) The example of talent astros are trying to create with Villar, Ruiz, DeShields, etc.
That is nearly always the case. Only time you wouldn't look for that is if your player wasn't going to remain under contract or there is significant salary relief. At least that is my opinion. That is why I hated the Wandy deal.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Astros&src=hash">#Astros</a> have ongoing trade talks about Bud Norris and Jose Veras, as I just told <a href="https://twitter.com/LaurenShehadi">@LaurenShehadi</a> on <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23TheRundown&src=hash">#TheRundown</a>. <a href="https://twitter.com/MLBNetwork">@MLBNetwork</a></p>— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) <a href="https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/statuses/350703365962997762">June 28, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
(the overused gif from the GARM joins the Astros section!). Thanks for your constant updating. So with nolasco off the trade market, that makes Norris the best available pitcher, right? I'd assume the giants are talking to us

Astros need to trade Bud Norris for a top prospect hitter and then draft Carlos Rodon next year and the Stros are set.
After losing today we are now 1.5 games ahead of the marlins. They are winning so far 3-0, so if they win we will be a game ahead. This looks like it will be a close race to be the worst
The Orioles are "highly interested" in Houston Astros' starter Bud Norris and have had multiple talks with Houston in recent days, according to MASN.com's Roch Kubatko. Norris, who has been linked to the Pirates and Giants in trade rumors, is one of the most likely arms to get traded in early July. While many teams seem interested in him, Baltimore seems to have the most serious interest in him to this point and may emerge as the favorite to acquire him as other teams shift their focus to other starter options on the market. http://www.mlbdailydish.com/2013/6/...ors-bud-norris-matt-garza-among-possibilities
Exactly, then you will ALWAYS suck but you will have a great farm system...if you make "good" trades Aaaaaahhhhhhh
Weird to me that we saw Harrell's name a lot in the offseason, but not so far during this season. Even though he hasn't been as effective this season, he's not been terrible. Don't know if teams aren't that interested, or the Astros just have him priced higher. He's not arbitration eligible until 2015, so he's very cheap right now.
