IIRC, Lazenby is a mouth-piece of sorts for Phil Jackson's camp. This doesn't mean he doesn't know what Dwight thinks, but I put more stock in his portrayal of Phil's thinking than Dwight's.

I hope they leave James Harden out of this. We might have to trade him to the Clippers for Paul. :)

Wouldn't that be a nice gesture? Thanks for turning this franchise around, buddy. Your gift is the perennial lottery clippers!

    b.s. there's no frontrunner.

if you were offered 4 different jobs, you would be leaning towards one of them. its how the mind works. hell, if i gave you 4 options of restaurants for dinner you'd lean towards one.

this is the biggest decision of his life. it's where he will live, how much money he will make, the friends he will make, who he has to work for and with, and the legacy he will leave behind. of course he has to be leaning one way, there is always a frontrunner!

now the rockets job is to highlight what made us the frontrunner to begin with and its in the bag.

    1) no other team is ready to win now without going through a rebuilding process.
    2) only the mavs can offer as much money over the first 3 years before he opts out to sign his last contract. but the rockets offer endorsements in china.
    3) no one else has hall of fame champion post players (plural) ready to mentor him.
    4) no other team is younger or more talented

While possibly true, I'm going to stick with Woj's track record on that one.

Dwight is very wishy washy. I'm not confident of this at all. Lakers will probably heavily exploit any feelings of guilt he has to make him stay, just like Orlando did. No use getting excited until he puts pen to paper.

Yeah Dwight doesn't want the public or media to know that he's leaning one way or the other before he hears each team's official pitch. He wants it to seem like he's being extremely open minded and making a mature, infomed, decision without any outside influence. This is why any time you see someone claim he's leaning one way or another you immediately see someone else's sources claim he has no idea. The first leak is from loose lipped people in Dwight's camp. The second is almost always a reactionary PR line.

More exposure in China mightn't be a great selling point... Fegan could counter "When is Harden's Chinese movie coming out?" :p

If they try to guilt him by saying they gutted their team for him, prepared quip: Bynum is available again, actually.

Heard Woj on the radio yesterday and he ripped the Lakers billboard approach in trying to keep Howard. Said it was desperate and not what you expect from the Lakers.

Looks like an additional piece is trying to be acquired to convince Dwight. Fortunately it looks unlikely bc the C's need to free up money and the Mavs do too. That makes deals tough.

That dude seriously lacks class. I just read his jeanie buss twit. Foolish.

Edit: This must be the photo he was referencing. So he's got that going for him. Which is nice.

fire kevin mchale, fire all the rockets assistants.

hire stan van gundy as head coach

hire the entire orlando 2009 staff, including all the assistants, athletic trainers, and the whole bunch (except for front office of course)

I don't buy that article much at all.

Why on earth would the Celtics want to trade Rondo for Dirk?
