    The Pitch for Howard...
Matress Mack, Clutch the Bear, Hakeem, Yao, asian escorts form the Shangai Sharks, James Harden, Arian Foster, JJ Watt, Andre Johnson, Roger Clemons, the best Taco Van in Houston, and Les Alexander holding the two championship trophys....

Yeah considering all of the "Diva-ism" with Dwight, there's no way in the world anyone in his camp would say anything but a generic answer like that. It's the same thing when a coach is asked about playing the worst team in their respective league, they always respond with crap like "They're a great team, they're only a few different bounces from being where we are, they compete really hard, we can't take em' lightly"

I think this is exactly the same thing, "there's no front runner, Dwight has no idea where he wants to play, he's not even sure how many teams want to talk to him, at this point he's even considering playing in Turkey" They'll say whatever garbage they can to make this seem like it's not already close to being decided.

Anyone remember the "order" of teams meeting with recent free agents?

As long as this presentation goes well, I feel going first is a plus for us. It will likely feel right to Dwight.

Dallas will feel desperate and forced.

Atlanta and Golden St. will feel like a waste of time to him.

Unless another team (SA?) sneaks in there, it's likely (as we've said mostly all along) going to be us or L.A.

Hakeem and Mchale are the two best post players in terms of post moves to train Dwight up.

I agree with this. Plus Morey, Les & Mchale always seem so laid back as opposed to Cuban, Rick C & Dirk.

I thought Hakeem hated the Rockets. Are you sure he's not wooing Howard to go to Toronto?

    lol... I hear you.

Born in raised in SW Houston, but for some reason grew up a Cowboy fan (flame on).

Have always loved the Rockets and Astros, but loved Staubach. (seems impossible I know)

I DID get on the wagon with the Oilers in the playoffs (both the Pastorini/Earl days and even moreso the Moon days), but can't help it - always been a Cowboy fan. Shoot me.

I'm with Parsons, how could he look at what's going on in Houston and say no? We won 45 games as the youngest team in the league. The thought of playing with Asik has to be enticing. Asik doesn't have to change his game at all freeing Dwight to do whatever the hell he wants on defense and being the man on the post. Asik doesn't need the ball on offense. If he wants this to be his team, I can't see Harden having a problem with that. OKC had a top 10 talent playing 6th man and he never complained. Our coach is a big man's coach. Ask Kevin Love.

Olajuwon is the trump card. Forget summer sessions and phone calls during the season. Olajuwon can be there any given time we're in Houston. My gut says he'll be watching Howard every night if he's a Rocket wanting to make him better. Shaq says he should be absolutely dominant, 30/15 every night. I believe it. Imagine the power of Shaq with the footwork of a Dream. And forget the back problems. He played 76 games last season with typical Dwight numbers.

We got this. Damn it Yao please get here and teach him free throws! I'm not looking forward to hack a Dwight.

If he doesn't join us, it means he isn't strong enough to handle the challenge of being a leader on a young team.
He did well in Orlando, but he has declined somewhat since then.

Clyde Drexler to join Rockets' tandem for D12

The Glide will join Dream, Harden, CP and Kevin McHale to recruit Dwight.
