why would Boston trade Rondo? That would only happen if he demanded a trade- Boston, along with the rest of the league, knows that you need stars to succeed. Giving him up will make it much harder for them to rebuild with new talent.

1st of all he only has 2 years left on his deal, and definitly when his deal up hes leaving because nobody wants to stay on a bad team. 2nd boston is trying to rebuild via draft not by free agency. 3rd why pay him 12 mil a year when the teams gonna suck anyways. 4th with rondo they probably wont be that bad of team so they probably will get picks 8-15, why be mediocore? they want to tank and get the top pick!

    Lin/Asik/T-Rob for Rondo/Lee (or Bass)?

Rockets get a stud PG and clear about 4 mill in space to clear the way for Dwight.

C's get Lin, their center of the future in Asik and clear the long term salary of Lee or Bass.

I feel like maybe this is a stunt by Mark Cuban right before free agency starts to show Dwight that they want to win now! The whole offseason its been all about the rockets. Cuban knows he's not getting rondo, just trying to get in the headlines, getting ready for dwight!

Dallas' assets: Cap Space, Dirk, Larkin, middle round 1st round picks.

They aren't trading Dirk. So all they have are middle round 1st round picks and cap space. But to chew into that cap space to take back bad contracts from Boston basically takes Dallas OUT of getting Dwight as a FA.

Yeah no, I don't see how the Mavs can offer a package that even entices the Celtics. They're going to need to throw in a third team to get them to budge. This "trade" is going to need to be a highway robbery.

I don't think it gets done without giving up Dirk. So it probably won't get done. Also, Rondo won't even be ready for the start of the season. Why would Dwight want to go into a situation with a PG returning from an ACL injury? Then again it is Dwight..

The Mavs need a new PG. They lack in the PG department.

Why would Danny Ainge mess up the recruitment for his good friend Kevin Mchale?

Its not so far-fetched. Teams are believed to be tanking and shedding salary in preparation for next years draft. Which is the best since KD/Blake and Lebron/and company. Its a race to be the worst.

Sam Hinkie got rid of Jrue Holiday, isn't resigning Bynum more than likely and is creating a team that has flexibility with a super young team. Its not that they passed on him, but other teams are starting to figure out there place for next season.

If you can get rid of Rondo for picks/players then its wise to do so. Rondo isn't getting the Celtics anywhere. And for any eastern conference team that matters... If your not the Heat/Pacers/Maybe Nets. Then prep for the 2014 draft.

Western conference is up in the air so it all depends.
