Lol, this was pretty much Utah's reaction when they first drafted John Stockton...

Yeah, I think the bobcat fans will LOVE Cody Zeller by the end of the year. They had NO USE for Noel since they already have biyambo.

zeller is going to be a GREAT pick in the Pau Gasol vain.

You have to put yourself in the mindset of a long tortured Bobcats fan. They needed this pick to be a home run and Zeller doesn't appear to be a home run. So I understand the disappointment.

That said, I don't think that it's a BAD pick; but at the same time, you can't really fault their fans for being disappointed with a safe pick over somebody that they could potentially make their franchise player (i.e. McLemore).

Cody is gonna be the best pick the bobcats have ever had...and he is way better than his brother Tyler...

Kinda reminds me of a JJ Watt draft party...He is smart, with tremendous BBall IQ, sneaky athletic, and a excellent shooter...and he is 7 feet tall...

Definitely think you're underestimating Zeller. In my opinion, he's a home run for that team. As I said earlier, I could be wayyy off base, but I just feel like his game will translate well in the NBA as he can be effective at both post positions.

He's gunna be great in Charlotte. Perennial All-Star IMO.

    He has the tools.

I remember when the rockets drafted Rudy Gay, everyone was going crazy. 5 seconds later we traded him for Shane Battier and it was practically a riot o_O good times

    To each his own.

To me, I don't see enough upside for him to ever amount to a 'home run' type of player. This was a very safe pick, IMO. Something a pitiful team like Charlotte needs (just like any basketball team could use a player like this), but can't necessarily afford to take.

The gamble you make in situations like this is the possibility that you just selected the next Marvin Williams.

So, so true. In any event, I'm anxious to see his development.
