He's going to have a very good summer and a much better season than last. I look forward to it, he has more talent than most of our roster. He just needs to put the work in, especially since we seem to have one of the hardest working rosters in the league. The Rockets have gained a lot from Royce - mainly, to go deeper into psych evaluation of draft prospects, and also to have a suitable protocol in place for chronic medical problems. It has been really messy, and testing and at times unbearable to hear about but everyone's going to get better because of it. If Royce never sees an NBA court - something no one would bet more than $1 on - then big whoop. We took a risk on a talented player when we had trouble signing FA talent and had a sunk cost of a few million dollars. It's hilarious that people get furious about this, especially since it's not their money, many of them would have drafted White themselves, and his pay was suspended when he wasn't abiding by his contract. Good luck to Royce. I'm a Rockets fan, so he has my full support because his success = Rockets success.
Finally, someone put some thought into their post, instead of just saying ,"F*** Royce White." I definitely agree with the bold. He's going to improve the quality of our roster considerably. And like you said, his pay was suspended, so it's not like he was eating up tons cap space while not playing. I look forward to this season and hopefully watching him play.
Its that its NOT gonna happen with the ROCKETS though, get USED to it Its what I believe the MAIN point of the "F-U" sentiment is. Its to mentally move past the inevitable in advance. Its more likely a free agent like Paul Millsap plays a regular season minute for the Rockets next season than Royce White.
I'm assuming he's making somebody somewhere pregnant. #bepregnant <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gZo26PzXohU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You lost me there. Royce could bounce back and have two wonderful seasons with the Rockets, only to explode and turn on the team mid-season in the third season. This guy has proven time and time again that he is in it for himself only.
