I'm a huge Jeremy fan myself, although I was joking when I said Jeremy is my future husband. Just like you, I thought him coming to the Rockets would be a good environment for him to develop. I was excited that he got to leave New York, where there are too many sport lights, too much ego and jealousy, and too many distractions. He signed a three years contract with Houston, and I thought as long as by the end of three years he's shown he's worth the $25M he'll be fine. I expected his first year to be ok, then he'll be better in year 2, and he'll be "developed" into a really good all around point guard in year 3. So all season when I feel that Jeremy is being "misused", not having the ball in his hands, and trying too hard to set up his teammates rather than looking for his own shots to get more points, I tell myself to be patient. He's "developing" into an all around player. Spot up shooting is not his strength? It's ok, he's "being developed". Ball not in his hand? Fine, he's "being developed". No one sets screen for him? It's ok, this is a young team, they're going to grow together. Like you, I've seen what he's capable of, he could score a lot of points if he would be more "selfish". But I believe that Jeremy knows what he's doing and knows how he wants to play basketball "the right way". He's being patient and God has a perfect plan for him. What I did not expect was all the hate, bashing, attack, and smearing he gets from Houston fans. It was not too long ago that he was the darling of New York. In Houston, anyone not named Jeremy is better.

Anyway, I still believe that God has a perfect plan for him, one way or the other. I hope that perfect plan involves the Rockets and I hope things will work out, because I really like this team. Otherwise, like JR Smith has said, basketball is basketball everywhere. At least he'll still be doing what he loves, which is playing basketball.

Clearly the best place to be. Don't even bother, just wait for headline news. Too many rumers, tweets, and wish-wash predictions.

Fair dinkum means true or for real.

E.g. Lin got traded to the Blazers for Lamarcus Aldridge. Responds with - You fair dinkum?

That's what Stephen A Smith, Chris Broussard, and other media mouthpieces are used for. What's adding one more -Mark Deeks- to the list of media people who are manipulated to the source's advantage?

I see an opportunity with Sacramento to dump Lin if that is what the Rox want to do.

He said that if the rockets were forced to get rid of one of Parsons Asik and Lin their priority would be to keep Parsons, then Asik, then Lin. I said that if we get Dwight he is correct in his ranking. If we miss on Dwight Asik's value to the team goes up and keeping him will be pretty important. So I said with Dwight: Parsons, Asik, Lin; Without: Asik, Parsons, Lin.

I'd take Cousins off their hands, regardless of the hate he receives, which I think is unfair to a certain extent anyways. The dude has talent. He gets T's for things that ordinary players do on a consistent basic, pretty unfair.

Haha. Ur a true blue Aussie m8.

Would not be sad at all if Lin got traded for LMA :) but they got lillard and I loved watching Lin school Lillard in a Rocket's uniform.

First TE=rocketfaithful;8049143]Are You Really that stupid?
You would have to be r****ded to ever trade Chandler Parsons over Omer Asik. First off what is the point of drafting and developing a guy just to dump him?

2nd of all lets compare Parsons and Asik

Parsons-better offensive arsenal that includes being a great three point shooter and with our style is number one priority, younger therefore more upside, has increased every aspect of his game except defense in his second year that includes seeming to be much more athletic imo (defense getting a little worse might be because of our game style and his insane minutes)

Asik- better defender. boom that's it.

bottom line- It is much rarer to get in this league a guy who can create his own shot than a guy who can clog the paint on defense. asik is just a taller chuck Hayes

ps. I love Asik non the less as well as chuck hayes. that guy was the definition of a hard worker[/QUOTE]

First of all, learn how to disagree like a grown-up. Second of all, I don't think it's that wild of an argument to suggest that if McHale had to lose one for a season he would choose Parsons. Asik wasn't just "better" defensively, he basically was our defense. We saw it over and over throughout the season... No Omar on the floor, no defense. Not to mention that whole #2 rebounder in the league thing. I want to keep them both, but if Dwight doesn't come Asik is essential to this team.

    That's awesome. Lin to Indiana.
    For Hill?

Lin would definitely help Indiana take the next step and Hill would bring peace to the GARM. You gotta love this trade.

so Deeks heard this directly from someone that took a call from Morey looking to trade lin. david aldrige retweeted him so seems legit.

this IS a big deal - since up until now the only official player that has been talked about in trades to free up cap space has been TRob. yes, theoretically everyone can be traded but this is the first time this has been confirmed.

now, why would this GM leak this to Deek? my thinking is - he wants to force morey's hand in trading lin. now that it's out there, he almost has to trade him. i guess lin could play through the year if he doesn't get traded, like pau gasol. sucky situation to be in, though.

Don't forget that David Aldridge has retweeted this "info" as well.

Would make more sense to trade Asik since Dwight is a center unless you want Asik to look like Gasol.

we don't know if they're NOT shopping asik. whoever is taking calls from Morey just isn't leaking it.

i don't think asik will be traded, since a backup center is critically important to this team. look what happened to our defense last year whenever asik comes out to rest. besides, didn't howard said he'd like to play with asik?

He also said that about Gasol and they weren't exactly the twin towers everyone was hoping for. Asik will have to make a lot of sacrifices to play with Dwight.

Yeah but if we don't get Dwight and we ended up trading Asik to clear up capspace, then the team is screwed next year.
