The Rockets got James Harden. He's better than all of the above.

Guys, again, let me say this. I want Dwight Howard here just like all of you. I just don't trust the guy when he is under this type of pressure.
If and when he signs with Houston and only after he puts that jersey on, will i believe it. Then i too will jump for joy. Real talk.

    Not really.

If the Mavs were trying to clear cap room for Dwight, they would've drafted Dennis Schroder, the 19-yr old German point guard. That would've allowed them to stash the rookie in Europe and save cap space. Instead, the Mavs passed on him twice (13th, 16th)and then drafted an American point guard (18th) who will count towards their cap. Atlanta took Schroder with the 17th.

The reason the Mavs kept trading down was because all their draft targets were gone by the 13th pick. Shane Larkin was next up on their draft board, but he would've been a reach with the 13th pick. So they traded down 5 spots before drafting him. The media made it sound like the Mavs were trading down just to save cap room, which wasn't true.

James Harden wasn't a rumored target.

I don't know that anyone is considering it to be a done deal, and it's fine to be jaded by the past, but what's fair is fair. This is a totally different, and far more attractive team than those in the past that were trying to attract those guys. This is a team that someone like Dwight would not only want to play for, but he could win with, and that's big.

The biggest thing for me, right now, is his indecisiveness. That alone kind of throws everything you hear out the window, as I'm sure his thoughts and perceptions change easily and constantly.

No he is not a national writer which is why I said he was local.

Secondly I said he's pretty credible, Heisler doesn't waste time with garbage like a TJ Simers and no, its not just what I want to hear. Im from Los Angeles so I can say what I said based off of knowing our local writers for years.

Please read in context the next time and don't come in here like the Yahoo police:rolleyes:

It would be really stupid if he didn't. You gotta send everything at Howard, which means letting him hear straight from McHale how much he'll be featured in the post.

That has been the only thing that has worried me in all of the rumors. Dwight having any ideas of not fitting into our system. But, this is easily remedied with an explanation of us not having anyone to have a post-game with. I truly believe it is Houston, or Dwight stays in gayLA.

The likely scenario is that both HOU and DAL have moves lined up to clear cap space as soon as Dwight makes his decision. Convincing Dwight to sign is gonna be the issue, not cap space at this stage of the game. Both teams have had a long time to prepare for it and won't be tripped up by a few million buck in cap issues.

Neither team made a salary cutting move on draft night, after exploring them leading up to it. Could be a lot of things, but my guess is this: The whole point of clearing cap before vs after free agency starts was that you supposedly have a little better leverage in the earlier time and may get better offers. HOU and DAL probably have some sort of "safety" offers in hand to clear salaries and tried to get better ones before the draft and the "better deals" involving Robinson, Lin, Marion or whoever just didnt materialize, or at least the offers were not enough of an improvement over what they had in hand for them to get it done.

Harden is not better than a healthy Howard, and some would argue he isn't even better than Melo.
