Han...i dont know if I should give you credit for the gif response to the thread, or for simply finding a rare gif of a Lannister. Before he was a Lannister.

I think the difference between Chandler and Howard is that they aren't expecting anything but defense from Chandler and he understands his role. Howard based off of his Lakers stint doesn't seem to want a defensive only role, he appears to want touches even though he isn't always that effective.

Kobe managed to co-exist with Shaq in the past and just recently he was co-existing with both Gasol and Bynum, some may put it on the coaching but if Howard can't play under experienced coaches like D'Antoni or Brown, how will he react to McHale who has less experience coaching?

If you can't tell, I agree with the OP, Howard isn't a great fit and the only reason people want him is because of past glory in a completely different situation then he would have in Houston. If Howard had shown more skills beyond using his athleticism for defense, I might be more willing to gamble but going for a MAX deal on a player like him seems more of a move that will bite us in the long run.

He's a gamechanger at 5 spot,27yoa,availible,and he took a bag of cans to the finals. When jameer nelson and rashard lewis are making all star games, then he must have done something right.

The sad state of today's NBA is that you are absolutely right and Dwight is STILL worth bringing in.
