Amen. I don't even care if he get's traded anymore, i already know how good he is and what he'll be able to do. It'll be fun as hell to watch whatever team he plays for.

I know man, so true! Rockets have done nothing but bring him down. How dare they pay him millions when no one else would. And why in gods name would they let Harden be the man over him? He really needs to find an organization who cares about him and only him.

Well, that explains why your discussion hasn't gone anywhere. You don't actually read other peoples' posts.

The idea that Beverly is more championship ready than Lin is laughable. The idea that we could easily trade Lin for a better PG is laughable. The idea that any of the other teams Dwight may sign with are likely to have a better PG is laughable.

These are the things you've been arguing for. This discussion was never about "Dwight may not want Lin" because that's just bald speculation that cannot be proven or disproven. Of course nobody is bothering to talk about it.

I said pro experience was important, like in general, for a player. I used Bev as an example of this because i believe his pro experience allowed him to fill in for Lin on a bigger stage than Bev is used to. The problem is, you can't mention both names without some people automatically thinking it's an argument over who is better overall for this team. Unfortunately, it probably came off that way because we went off about their pro experience, and i can accept that as my fault for keeping it going, but it was never a head to head comparison. Neither of them are ready, as they both have very little NBA playoff experience.

I don't even believe that statement, as it's written, period. I don't even believe i pushed trading Lin that much to begin with in my posts..maybe you're confusing me with Larsv8, who i think did mention trades, or someone else.

It may be laughable to you, but it's not about you or me. Like i said before, i was trying to see it from DH's viewpoint. A lot of the things he's done are just that, laughable, so who are we to say the trend won't continue? In the past i've argued he was trying to pursue a Hollywood dream, even though i didn't think it's a good move for him. Why? Because it seemed like he thought it was a good move and if that's the case, then it's more likely to happen, whether we agree with it or not. Collison is no scrub. It's not that far fetched to think DH may like him more than Lin as a player, maybe even as a person, if he knows him better. Plus, it's also not as simple as looking at the pg himself. Maybe he thinks both are good talent-wise, but Collison has a better support system and experienced leaders around him, like Dirk, who has won a ring. Marion, even Carter, who has been around along time. Elton Brand, and so on.

Of course i'm speculating, i'm not an insider, but isn't that what we do on this board all the time? We speculate. We speculate about what trades will happen. We speculate on how much Lin will improve. We speculate about whether Leonard would have turned out as well, if we had drafted him, or not. The list goes on and on.

Now, is it bald speculation? I don't think so. We know two things for sure. One, Dwight wants to win now. Two, Lin has a lot more to learn about the playoffs/game, he said it himself. Because of recent history, we also know the point guard spot is an important part of a championship team and I doubt DH is oblivious to this. How does that not give me a good enough reason to speculate?

Not sure if you get the right view unless you are 6'11" or above and have experience playing center in pro ball. Even DH himself changes his view quite often so what the point.
