    Would the Lakers be able to amnesty Gasol, tank and pick Wiggins then sign LeBron? I have a bad feeling that if Dwight leaves, the Lakers will get Wiggins but would they have the chance at LeBron as well?

    just an honest question, but if you know that for sure you're going to stay in LA don't you just re-sign there early and end all the speculation? I mean I know these guys like to be wined and dined but still...

    The very best I, well we, can hope for is Dwight chooses Houston and has Hakeem to work with on his game for the next 4+ years in order to try to help D12 remove his v*gina and use his natural talents and ability to become the dominant C of this era he always should have been.

    Garnett deal has nothing to do with it. D12 will not be on the same roster as Garnett, ever. And no trades can officially go down until July 10th, nor can any free agent signings. His announcement date is the first possible day he can sign with his new team :cool: stRay......

    The Clips definitely could get 3 top salary guys together, but would have to give up some pieces in order to make the salary issues work, and would definitely be in luxury tax territory. The big roadblock that doesn't ever let this happen is the Lakers aren't gonna give the Clips a HOF Center to basically let them own Los Angeles for the next 5+ years no matter what pieces the Lakers get back. I just don't see a price the Clips can pay that makes the Lakers willing to do a trade that sends D12 to the Clips, even under sadly underwhelming front office leadership these days for the Lakers rebuilding to be show.

    So, July 1st is the first day that teams can start talking to FAs?

    Does the July 10th date only pertain to Dwight and his announcement?
