I dont think he took touches away from Pierce, so don't see that as an issue with Harden. If anything, he will make life so much easier for Harden, Parsons, and hopefully Howard. The issue is with his shooting, yes, but with Howard and Rondo, we will have individual league leaders in rebounding, assists, blocks, and steals. Unheard of.

Also, i did want to bring up the Finals, with the Heat and Spurs pretty much dead even, it really came down to TOs. Miami forces a ton and almost each Spurs loss, especially the 4th quarter of game 7 can be attributed to TOs. I cant really envision Lin and harden surviving that type of a series even with Howard. We really need a solid PG (Rondo is more than just solid) to get the ball to players' strengths at the right time. Yes, at times we may put up a bunch of bricks, but we'll force even more. And if we can allocate shooters at other positions, we may be ok offensively too. If we get Howard, Rondo would be the perfect complimentary 3rd star.

I like Lin. I like Asik. I even like TRob. I like 1st rd draft picks. But I'd gladly ship them all out for Rondo and a chance to further entice Dwight. If anything, it's been made clear to me over the course of the season that we really do need a PG to feed Dwight in the post (assuming we get him) and to take the ball from Harden for most of the game.

Rondo can easily make everyone on this rockets team better. He don't need to shoot the ball to do that. Rondo's penetrating and court vision can create open looks for everyone on the Rockets. Only problem is that he can be a potential locker room cancer.

Love Rondo's game, but I'll hate to see how the Rockets locker room will be with Harden, Howard and Rondo. Knowing Morey a well known Boston fan, he's just might try, but than again Lin is a Cash Cow still with upside.

looks like he's getting 12 and 13 million the next two years. Should be very tradeable after next year if it doesn't go well.

I thought the ppl on this board who wanted to get a pg wanted a good spot up shooter though. That he definitely is not. I wonder what the offensive philosophy will be going into next year. Guess a lot of it depends on Dwight.

Celtics are tanking for Wiggins. Trading the injured Rondo for Lin/Asik will get them more wins next season, so it isn't happening.

But even if it were, the idea of playing a PG with no jump shot more than $10M/yr to play off the ball with Harden is a joke.

Lin is already a better shooter than Rondo and provides as many steals too. Lin is younger and $5 million cheaper. He can hit 3's at a decent percentage, more often than Rondo gets a stupid technical foul or bumps a ref at least. Lin was injured in the playoffs. His performance their is not indicative of his total value as the starting PG for the Rockets. What were Rondo's playoff stats this year? Pick the worst section of any player's career and you could make a compelling argument that Jim McIlvaine would be the best C of this era based on his productivity for a few games. Get real

Come on Man. Comparing playoff averages when Lin has only played in 4 playoff games, and some coming off an injury? Rondo's stats are crazy good for playoffs, and I'm not saying Jeremy would put up the same numbers, just that it's a bit unfair to put that comparison up.

Even though, for some reason, you find the need to respond in a snarky and sarcastic manner, that's not what I said at all. I said the sample size is so small for one player that it makes no sense.

That's like having a coach who is 2-4 in the playoffs after his first series ever and calling him one of the worst playoff coaches in the NBA. Just makes zero sense, statistically. There's a reason the concept of sample sizes exist.

I'm not the one who brought up the comparison between Lin and Rondo.
Linsanity for his entire career is a small sample size.
