Who says I blindly believe everything cyberx says? What I'm saying is he's one of the few insiders we have so it's ok to appreciate him. I take what Woj, Berger, Broussard, Smith, Spears, Amick, etc. say with varying degrees of salt. But it doesn't make it any less interesting and useful to hear it so you can piece together a larger picture. Same with cyberx.

Your momentum argument may be correct but could just as easily be incorrect. Momentum can change hourly or even daily. Dwight might have heard that LA was doing a full court press and thought that meant Phil was going to be coach and got excited because he maybe saw a chance he could still have his cake and eat it too (stay in LA and still win). Maybe within the next day he starting realizing maybe Phil isn't coming back, and now this recent leak was his way of forcing LA to decide one way or the other. That's just as reasonable an explanation as everything else. He was one of the people who insisted on Dwight's interests here (he may not strictly be the first but he was insistent), and then the momentum back to LA, and yesterday HOU in the lead, and then Dwight not in HOU, Fegan on the rocks with Howard, etc. Who cares whether those are colored by his being an LA fan? He's been providing a lot of factual statements. How we intrepret them is up to us. Your "but he's biased" isn't any different than saying Broussard, Randolph, Smith, etc. are biased. Of course they're all biased. I'm just interested in learning snippets by someone who may be in a position to provide them. My point is he's biased but he's still provided info that is useful or interesting, assuming it's true.

I think Marion's final year is a player option so won't know until he opts in (after July 1st?). Also, couldn't the Mavs just waive and stretch him or amnesty him if they were desperate to create room for Dwight?

 

Mavs can't amnesty anyone. They used it on Haywood.

Y'all need to get a grip. There's gonna be dozens of fake rumors over the next week. Don't believe any of them unless they come from credible journalists with a history of breaking news and direct links to media.
