Hope none of you guys are coming this weekend. Even hopping from hotel to hotel will be miserable. Possibly setting all-time (recorded) high records this weekend.

Going in 2 weeks. Been almost 2 years since my last trip. That heat looks...not fun. Staying in I guess!

i'm going end of August. Staying in Planet Hollywood. $60 a night is pretty cheap.

Any good places to see/visit? I'm on a budget so nothing expensive.

only $25 in that pull, lol. I've won more, but I've lost much much more lol. This last week has been less than -$1K in gambling losses, but burning $$$ at the clubs and EDC multiplies that total by a lot.

I was just there for 2 weeks! Visiting someone, not just gambling, but I did a lot of the tourist stuff as well.

    My advice:

**Get HALF OFF shows & many nice dinners at any Tickets 4 Tonight booth. You can find them all around town. It's silly to pay full price when you can easily get it for half.

La Reve is a cool new show you may want to check out.
I also went to Eli Roth's Goretorium. A lot of people seem to like it, but I was a bit disappointed.

Death Valley National Park is really cool, if you have a car and the time.

If you ever just want good free drinks to start off the night, but don't want to spend like anything, you can go to the video poker bar at Harrahs  Other casinos do the whole complimentary drink thing, but the other places I went the drinks were watered down & they have like a betting minimum. At Harrahs you can play slowly at like $0.25 a time if you want :p

Man, the wife and I got to talking about Vegas last night. Barring a spot bonus between now and September, looks like our next trip may be one to cross off the bucket list...next March during the Madness!

my company is paying for my flight there since I'll be training in Seattle, Southwest has a returning flight to Houston for 223 total, good deal?

Any recommendations for hotel stay? would like to stay under $500 for flight and hotel, thanks!

A weekend visit under $500 will get you a bottom tier hotel. Packages from Texas to Vegas are getting expensive... talking more like $700-$800 for a weekend trip with flight and a nice hotel.

well if my flight is only $223(1way from vegas to houston), that leaves almost $300 for hotel for 3 nights, you think I'll be able to find anything around that price on the Strip that's at least 4stars?

That all depends on the dates. I've stayed in hotels that range from $250/n to $2K/n for the exact same room.

Yeah Kim is right-- Middle of the week you can find a room at a place like Monte Carlo or MGM for probably $75-$90 a nite... weekends your looking at probably closer to $250-$300 a night.

Oh and dont forget about the Resort Fees. These are not mandatory and are collected at the end of your stay. Each day they charge you for BS like free phone calls, internet service, access to the gym and a daily newspaper. Charges are $15-$30 depending on where you stay. Another way to poke you in the eye.
