You know before I went to sleep last night I watched SC and Broussard was talking about that Dallas and Houston as the favorites for the Dwight but when he started talking about the Rockets he said Dwight just wants to know if Rockets would feature him more in there style of play both offense and defense ....so if that's the only thing hes worried about then I aint worried ...(unless they fire MDA)

Seems like everybody's confident now he will probably go to Houston. Before it was I think 2/3 out of 5 who said Houston, others said Hawks / Lakers / Mavs.

Not much of an update but...

    Marc Stein

    Update on Dwight?

He's going to meet with teams starting July 1st. Houston & Dallas will get a meeting with him for sure. Atlanta, probably will as well. For weeks now, teams around the league have been saying Houston is the favorite. Our own Chris Broussard reported yesterday Dallas is right there. The Lakers are justifiably concerned they won't be able to keep him.

Why is everyone accepting Dallas isn't in this race, EXCEPT ESPN?

They gotta create a little bit of "drama" somehow. If they just said Dwight is definitely going to Houston if he leaves LA, nobody would read their updates.

S&T? They have some young pieces now though teaming up with an aged and injured Dirk wouldn't be appealing to me and this year would be a total wash while waiting on 2014 FA reinforcements.

ehh they have nothing LA wants...they're better off losing Howard for nothing than picking up bad contracts.

Well to be fair Lakers was not part of the question.
    2. Atlanta, Dallas or Houston: Which spot is best for Dwight?

Marion + all of last night's picks and maybe future picks for Howard. Amnesty MWP. The Lakers budget for next year is already blown so taking on Marion's expiring for the cost of young picks offset by amnestying MWP might be better than nothing. They would still be able to go on a spending spree next offseason.

    More (feigned) competition, higher ratings?

I really don't know why I read ESPN comments. I guess I like being angry. The amount of people that are simply listing "James Harden" as the reason Dwight should play here are short-sighted. Parsons and Asik are legit players and we have overall a better roster and outlook than both Dallas and LA. Then I see people post stuff like "Their GM isn't good, they just got that turkish guy because Chicago's GM is cheap" or "He can be the man in Dallas, James Harden will take shots away from him". I just want to throw this laptop out of my office window.
