Perhaps Trob, Delfino, & AB will all be traded to the Blazers for this year's 2nd round picks before 6/30. They drafted four 2nd rounders after all..

No need for sarcasm. Was just saying how Morey should have been in his pajamas, the way the PC looked.

    Also, the PC wasn't necessary.

    The entire draft wasn't necessary

Seriously though , this was the first draft I've seen where there wasn't one single player that I hoped we'd really end up with

Delfino and AB cannot be traded, since the Rockets declined their player options meaning they are free agents. Only way Rockets get something back from them is through a sign and trade, and that ism't going to happen.

I think you may be wrong. Delfino and Brooks have non-guaranteed contracts for the second year (team option) which means they are still on the books unless waived before June 30. They can be traded and the other team can guarantee their salaries for next year.

Yeah, he is wrong. He said player options when they are team options too.

But i doubt we get anything for them in the next three days.

100% speculation but IMO that team is the Spurs. The most ridiculous pick of the night was the Spurs. This is a team that's all about now and their pick, this french guy was a reach at 30 even for a team looking toward the future. He is not ready to contribute right now. They will not bring him over next year and of all the teams in the NBA they are on the clock more than anyone. They are a skilled team that needs athleticism youth and rebounding. In one swoop Robinson could give them that. Splitter has his place on that squad but was manhandled by Lebron and the Heat.

Surely Houston made them aware that if they were to make a deal it would only be for someone to stash and that someone of who might be available is Livio. Think about it? The Spurs have the cap space to absorb both WWhite and TRob. Someone leaks the Rockets have a better deal in place that may involve the Spurs and Morey walks away from the draft happy and says he is 100% confident he can shed the cap needed because he knows something better is in store.

The reason the deal was not finalized is because it is contingent on us signing Howard. Just an opinion but it makes more sense than the Spurs signing Livio unless they are already starting the rebuilding.

Man, don't tell me Morey is capable of trading EVERYONE on the team. I think he is fully capable of making such a decision. I'm a huge fan of 13. So all that witchcraftery y'all are talking about can skidaddle.

With that said if he is traded to the spurs, I'd think it'd be for DG. :p

Or just a plain old S&T to get DH.

Very logical analysis, nicely done. But I am not sure if it is really contingent on signing DH. What if DH decided to sign somewhere else or stay with the Lakers and the player is not what the Spurs really want? So I do believe the trade was done but they just delay the announcement for some other reason.

Wow! Old Man Rock! Thank you for the great analysis. It really makes sense to me because I was thinking all along that the Spurs really want T-Rob and was surprised nothing happened at the draft. A delayed trade could involve the renewed 3.2 million cash allowance we could give the Spurs to take White or would we use the expiring 2.1 million? Also, are you saying that if we don't get Dwight, this trade is not executed and the Spurs get stuck with the French draft pick?

The spurs also can't trade until july 10. I believe Bonner has a partial guarantee and they're over the cap this season so...

Currently Spurs have about $69million, after June 30, they'll have about $42m. Bonner is fully guaranteed for $4m after June 29. So you've lost me. What are you implying with Bonner? I think just that the Spurs are over the cap until July 1 means we cannot execute the trade before then, after July 1 the Spurs have the room to absorb Robinson and White.

Yep, pretty much like that except he went into some detail like he plays for Parker's old team in France, the program and the coach are top rate, he likes his size and flexibility to play multiple positions... Etc. but he's definitely not coming for the next few years. Only averages about 9pts and 7rebs. He's 19 years old.
