I don't think we're gonna get rid of Jeremy just because we drafted a second-round PG. Wouldn't make too much sense.
I'm really surprised by this. I don't think I've ever heard Morey say say the words "100% confident" with regards to his plans. If he's 100% confident, then I'm 100% confident as well. In Morey We Trust!
Yep, will happen in the next 4 days. Got a feeling from the press conference Lin is definitely staying. Morey said TWICE you need 3 point guards and Canaan will be the third + spend most of his time with the Vipers.
Morey is all about numbers. He's not going to say 100% unless he means it. But that doesn't mean he is going to come out and tell everyone what he's going to do either.
They would have a better 5 next to Dirk than Tyson Chandler. You know, the guy they won a championship with? Dirk can still stretch the floor. Don't get me wrong guys, i think we have a better team for him, but you never know about Cuban.
Dallas is not a threat. It's either LA or Houston. I'm not using any rose colored glasses to give you that answer, I'm using logic. The guy cares about winning, and if he wanted to play with an old team that will have cap space in a year, it's LA
I agree. I think this is all about maximizing the teams that will wine and dine him, pull out the red carpet, give him the old Jesus Shuttleworth recruiting pitch, etc etc. Dwight wants to see how the wine tastes in every city, essentially. And then at the end of the day he'll look at the X's and O's and choose the place that will help him win a championship/the most championships over the course of his next contract and probably his career, as his salary escalations will start all over if he keeps jumping around.
And you do realize they will have nobody else decent on that roster right? If they sign Dwight, they have 3 guys on the roster with at max 1 million in capspace right?
The stretch provision is why the Rockets have a 100% chance of creating cap room but that turns Lin into Matt Maloney 2.0 another Les signing.

In past seasons when Morey did not get deal he wanted, he was obviously sullen. Tonight, was cheerful. 100% means he's already got a team committed and waiting, somebody wants TRob. Morey is simply waiting to execute to see what else develops. 100% guys. He knows he's got a deal in his pocket. He's waiting to see if it will turn into something else. And no, that's not illegal.
Dammit, i can't believe that most of my top guys were drafted by conference foes!!!! Roberson, Ledo, Green, Bullock, Goodwin, Muscala!!! Nightmare draft!!
Uh. The play of Kidd, Barea, Terry and a godlike Dirk were the main reasons why Dallas won. Sure, Chandler had a big part, but they wouldn't have won the 'ship without the four aforementioned players having a big part. No more Kidd, Barea, or Terry. An aging-and-not-as-godlike Dirk. That team is not the same, and therefore, is definitely not as appealing to people.
Like i said, i feel we have the better team. We are in the same boat. Both teams have to unload salary.
Guess Morey found a trade for Lin and is waiting until July 1 for the other team's cap room to clear up.
Anyone else glad this guy isn't our GM? Or that Morey doesn't have this poster's lack of patience? Look, deals take time. Sometimes, it's not as simple as "Oh, you have X? I have the Y that you want to trade for. Trade?" "Yes." "kthxbye."
