THe top 3 picks next year will be all certified stars

    Wiggins
    Parker
    Randle

The next tier is not that bad either

    Marcus Smart
    Andrew Harrison
    Aaron Gordon
    Noah Venleh
    Wayne Seldon

All 8 players would have been the first pick in this year's draft.

For all of those saying it was a good trade for Philly, which it was, keep in mind the Pelicans' 2014 pick that Philly will be receiving is top 1-3 pick protected. So, in other words, they have no shot at getting Wiggins.

I think everyone pretty much covered this, great trade by Hinkie, stupid ass decision by the Pelicans.

For the Sixers, sure Holiday was a good player but then again good pgs are like a dime a dozen in the NBA, Pelicans themselves have already have a pretty good pg. Noel was widely touted to be the consensus top pick prior to the draft, and while he is suffering from ACL injury right now, that injury is easy to recover from and has no long term effects.

For the Pelicans...wtf? Why trade a center you could have paired with Davis? And for a pg when you already have Vasquez?

What about the Sixers' own pick? Holiday was the only big time player they had.

They already have Eric Gordon. It would be redundant at the pg . are they trading one of them?

Pelicans trying to win now type move, sell tickets and build interest. Noel with Davis could have been pretty damn formidable in a couple years. A seriously strong defensive front court.

Not really win now but a 2+ year project. Kinda like the Colts of NBA...

Probably didn't want to pass on a young star.

Say we have asik but does that stop is from pursuing Howard?

Nope. Maybe put him at the 2 and have EG or Vasquez become 6th man. Either way.. No one predicted this crazy trade to go down.

Lets see who was the mastermind behind all this.. Sam hinke or morey.. Interesting

If rockets get howard, I'd be interested in trading Asik for Vasquez since the Pelicans will be sure to look to trade him.

I think that's apples and oranges. Howard is a game changer. I don't see Holiday as being close to that. He's been in the league 4 years and he isn't very efficient. Maybe I haven't seen him enough.

Pelicans win the draft as far as I'm concerned!

    Jrue
    Gordan
    Amino?
    Davis
    Lopez

With Rivers and Anderson coming off the bench... If Eric Gordan decides to start playing, that's one of the top backcourts in the league!

Plus, im sure they'll now trade Vasquez. Maybe they can get a legit SF for him...

Holiday's stats are inflated due to him dominating the ball since the 76ers had no talent besides him and playing like 40 minutes per game.

Yeah - but the Sixers will potentially have two high lotto picks next season. Not a bad start to joining the Andrew Wiggins sweepstakes. And the consolation prizes in the 2014 draft look better than anybody in this year's draft too.

The gap between Asik and Howard is much larger than the gap between Holiday and Vasquez. More importantly we're trying to get Howard for free, while Pelicans traded Noels+ a future pick for Holiday. Not really similar. If they really wanted a pg why not just take a pg in the draft? 2014 draft is gonna be stacked, even if that future pick turned into a low first rounder it would still be very valuable. Do you even know how good Holiday is? He was the only guy who could score on the Sixers, who knows if he stats are really just inflated due to high usage.

Great move by Hinkie, this is a move that will pay dividends next season.
