The kid was frequently in trouble for that entire school year at the least. Read his texts and FB postings to get a handle on his mindset. He had weed in his system (after getting suspended for weed) and photos on his phone of someone (possibly him) holding a gun. That kid did not need to be left at home unsupervised. All of us who have had teenagers go through some sort of rebellion by our kids. It's our job to monitor their behavior and take appropriate action. They did a poor job at both since there was evidence on this phone that he was still on a bad road.
Violent behaviour, restraining order, issues with police officer, not following suggestion from authority, killing a human being. Is it not yet clear to you WHO was not supervised and brought up correctly by Mr. & Mrs. Zimmerman?
It was reasonable to arrest him. If he's found to be hiding money away while they are determining his bail, I think that could be seen as significant flight risk, and so it makes sense to raise the bond. I didn't really follow the whole bond thing, so if that's not how it happened, you can correct me.
If you are talking about the first witness.... She also heard 3 gun shots.... Pay attention. Not a credible witness. If you are talking about the second witness.... She based her opinion on who was on bottom by size only because she couldn't make out other details. She thought that it was Zimmerman because he was bigger. She was asked how she determined Martin's size and it was from the photo of him in the hoodie. You know.....when he was 12. Not a credible witness. They need solid evidence indicative of guilt to arrest GZ to get to the point where the need to have a trial. Unless they have someone with significant injuries, with a believable story with supporting a eyewitness a few feet from him to back his claims, They have not presented proof that says he continued to follow after a dispatcher advised him not to follow Martin. Even if they do, it was not illegal for him to continue to follow Martin. There is this Football Player who had a **** ton of evidence pointing at his guilt. Guess what, they didn't arrest him until they had their ducks in a row. You may have heard about this case. I doubt you will see the parade of misfits that the prosecution has thrown up so far in this case.
Why would Trayvon be calling for help if Zimmerman had a gun? Was Trayvon standing there, screaming while Zimmerman waited with his gun out until he finally shot him? That voice was Zimmerman's. Was squealish like a pig. Just like a "creepy ass cracka's" voice would sound like.
Witnesses are frequently wrong or have conflicting stories about different parts of their stories. But one part being wrong doesn't wipe out the entire testimony. There were things that the witnesses were sure of even when they knew they were mistaken about other things. That's what I mentioned. The witness you mentioned hasn't undergone cross examination yet. So it's unknown how well his testimony will hold up. The injuries weren't that significant, and didn't require a trip to the hospital after the initial examination. Nobody claimed it was illegal for GZ to follow TM. They have absolutely shown that GZ followed Martin despite what the 911 dispatcher told him.
Zimmerman is an adult. His parents are not responsible for his behavior anymore. They haven't been in a decade. From what I have heard the issue with the Police Officer was that there was an undercover sting going on at the bar GZ was at with a friend. One of the undercover officers grabbed GZ's friend and GZ tried to pull him off not knowing he was LE. Which violent behavior are you referring to? Again, it has not been proven that he did not follow a suggestion from a dispatcher who BTW has no authority. He is alledging that he killed the person in self defense. The restraining order is valid but speaks more of the inability to cohabitate by 2 individuals who were both served with a restraining order.
TM might call for help if a guy had been following him, and attacks him whether it was initially with a gun or not. I don't think anyone has claimed that GZ stood there holding a gun on TM and then finally decided to shoot him. That isn't the prosecution's scenario of what happened. I don't know where you're getting that from.
pulling someone off of somebody isn't a crime and nothing GZ would have to use plea bargain to deal with. It has been shown that's exactly what happened.
I was following your logic that it was partially the fault of the victim's parents for not supervising their son. It is also applicable to the killer's parents in this case. Just saying.
The yelps and screaming for help started when the scuffle began, right? If Zimmerman wanted to kill this guy in cold-blood, why would he even allow Trayvon to initiate contact and start a fight when he could have just simply gunned him down?
You obviously havent read their weak and easily disputed testimony. Witness 1. "In my opinion, I truly believe especially the second yell for help, it was like a yelp, it was excruciating. I really felt like it was a boy's voice." Surdyka also testified that she heard multiple gunshots, "pop, pop, pop." Only one shot was fired in the fatal encounter between Zimmerman and 17-year-old Trayvon Martin." Witness 2. She said she saw a larger man on top of a smaller man, and after watching news reports, she said she concluded the man on top was George Zimmerman. "I believe it was Zimmerman, comparing the size of their bodies," she said. She added that she could be wrong about the sizes: “I don't know who's bigger now.” In the words of the Prosecution's star witness..... You can go now. The injuries weren't fatal because GZ shot TM. GZ has said that TM went for the gun. No...they have not proven that he followed him. That would require an eyewitness who saw him following Martin. Did I miss that? They have proven they met up again but not what lead to them meeting up.
GZ may have started the fight using his hands, and then drawn the gun once it looked like he would lose. What is certain is that nobody claimed GZ was standing around with a gun out when the fight broke out.
No. Someone transcribed the letter for her in cursive. She can't read cursive. It makes her look stupid, but not a liar.
My statements about the witnesses and their testimony still stands. The cell phone conversation which discussed GZ following TM has been consistent and has not changed. The length of the conversation would show that it continued after the dispatcher's conversation with GZ. It could have been that he followed TM after being told not to, but still stopped prior to actually meeting up with TM.
My exagerration was ill-suited. My apologies, I was wrong. I just don't understand that line of thinking. They're claiming Zimmerman is a killer; why would a killer let his victim scream for approx. 30 seconds before deciding to pull a gun on him? Perhaps Trayvon had a holt of it? Also: Why in the world would Zimmerman, an out-of-shape asthmatic, think he could beat up a 5'11' athletic youth? If the stereotypes he envisioned were true, the 'thug' would definitely be able in a fist-fight
There's all sorts of reasons why Zimmerman might start the fight. Anger, fear, adrenaline, sneak attack, knowing that if things got out of control he could always pull out his gun. I don't really want to say anything that happened without seeing the evidence and allowing both sides to examine and speculate about that evidence.
