Parsons and Dwight have the same agent, right?

I don't think there is any way Phil would risk his legacy agreeing to coach a team with as little talent as the Lakers. The reason some people are fooled into believing that he's some all time great coach is because he's fallen into some of the best teams in NBA history and he was able to ride them to championships.

I think this will end up as a S&T as it appears both Houston and Dallas are in the front-line pursing DW.

Given the rivalry in the Texas state and Lakers knows how to play their cards right. Lakers will use this opportunity to net something worthy instead of letting DW walk free. DW is about indifferent between the 2 teams, but a bit more favor toward Dallas to play along side Dirt and with Cuban willing to open his wallet more than Les.

Lakers are certainly looking into their 2014 FA and dallas is a better team to do business with then Houston as Dallas have expiring contracts to offer.

My guts feeling is DW end up in Dallas.

If he rules out the lakers, how does he convince us to cater to him without throwing Dallas out there?

There is almost zero reason for either Houston or Dallas to make a S&T. Furthermore, if the Lakers lose Dwight, they'd MUCH rather him walk for nothing than take expiring contracts. The team would be garbage next year, already -- they don't want to pay $50 additional million in luxury taxes for a few expirings.

There's no way the Rockets wouldn't utilize Dwight in the post if they got him. The best way to get open looks on the perimeter is to utilize your big man in the post, and with Dwight Howard, they finally have a big man they can consistently utilize in the post.

What is the point of either Houston or Dallas doing a s&t ?

There is 0 chance that it ends up a sign and trade because both Dallas and Houston could just sign him outright. There wouldn't be any incentive to do a sign and trade. I'd be shocked to hear that he was actually considering Dallas, they are just bringing them up so they still have some leverage in contract negotiations.

At this point, I'm happy with the direction of our franchise with or without Dwight. We're not helpless any longer.

The reasons I take Dwight over Asik, is that Dwight destroyed Asik when he played him str8 up and Dwight's hands are a 1,000% better than Asik. There is no way u could stop our PnR game. Howard over the top game is tremendous and surrounding him with Parsons as a 4, Bev at PG, and trading Asik and Lynn to sign a free agent, like Igudola or Monta (scared of his shot selection though).

    This is what we know:
    - agent wants Howard in LA / Dallas
    - most people in the league feel Houston makes most sense
    - most non-LA fans agree he should go to Houston as well
    - still most would like him to stay in LA

Question is, who will he listen to? Himself, his agent, LA people, fans, league people, ESPN and them?

The Rockets, as currently constructed, are better than a Mavericks team with Dwight Howard. Dwight is not going to Dallas.

Yes, but Parsons and Fegans relationship is newer probably compared to Cuban and Fegan

Jalen said, once again though, he thinks Dwight to Houston at the end

I'm very happy with the state of the franchise right now, with or without Howard. Howard signing here just speeds up the process of reloading quite a bit.

I have to disagree and agree 50-50 on this. No doubt MJ and Kobe are the best in their own perspective era and position. However, dont discredit PJ and his coaching skill.

People often forget is that BB is a team of 5 players not just one. Yes having a superstar talent is great but one star isnt going to win you any championships. Look at Lebron while he was with the Cavs.

It takes a special coach to exploit the advantage and hidden the shortcoming of their team/player. Sure, its a lot easier on a superstar player than an average player. Dont forget the coach has to also get the other 4 players on the team to gel with that star. It is a 50-50 credit to both the star and the coach.
