Man Dan Fegan must really not want Dwight to go to Houston...

Just admit you're a Lakers fan and head to LakeraGround.

Morey will dazzle Dwight with all the analytics showing he is the best PnR big man in the game and Harden/Lin are two of the best PnR guards in the game. Not to mention Asik can help spell Dwight's minutes and lengthen his career. Also Morey will surround Dwight with better shooters than he had in Orlando.

    Should be an easy sell.

Makes no sense why Dallas would be front runner. Who was the last superstar player the mavs signed as a free agent?

Time to send Parsons to Dwight's Sunday night with a bottle of Moscato and a redbox DVD.

    Lock it up.

Its just all about Lakers pride right now. They refuse to let a player dictate their management decisions. They believe that plays should be thankful that they get to play for that franchise and that they need to just accept whatever they decide is best for the players.

It will be interesting to see if they break on their standing point. Their billboards are already a step in a direction the Lakers haven't done in the past, so we will find out if they will soften on this as well.

This. No superstars actually want Dallas.

Sounds like Dwight is using HOU, DAL and whatnot as leverage to get D'Antoni fired. And make no mistake, they will most likely fire him once DH agrees to return.

For all the hate he got, he pulled that team out of the gutter and into the playoffs. I agree he's a bad fit, but I think Bus is going to stick by him because of what meager success they had in the 2nd half of the season.

I see this as the unfortunate most likely outcome at this point.

Pringles gets fired, George Karl or someone else not named Phil but still respectable gets hired and Dwight is still in LA next year.

If Dirk is healthy he is still a superstar. His game is based more on skill/size than athleticism and he still shot 47%/41% last year. I'd also guess that Dirk is a lot easier to get along with than Kobe. Plus the Mavs probably have the best owner in the NBA from a player's perspective. Throw in that Dirk will take a pay cut in 14 and allow you to sign another all star or two and you have yourself a good situation. I'd personally come to Houston if I was him but Dallas has a lot to offer.

I could see that too. Our only hope is that the Lakers ownership is too prideful to admit that MDA is a mistake.

Here is where my confidence is: We're gonna be better than last year with or without Dwight. You could stand pat and end up with a better record than last year just due to players like Asik, Lin, Parsons, DMO/Tjones getting better. We should be shooting for a 5 or 6 playoff spot without him next year. If you add a 4 like Josh Smith then you move up the ladder. Ultimately Morey has contingency plans. I think a team is only as good as their GM, and Morey happens to be one of the best (I believe he's the best) in the business. We're gonna be alright. But... if Dwight goes to Dallas I'm gonna hate him forever no matter what. I live in DFW so I know the arrogance that goes on around here... it would make my blood boil. Bottom line, if he goes somewhere else we need to work hard to make sure we destroy that team every season.

Lakers looking at how to get rid of D'Antoni...

Looking to do it very carefully.

Chance Pjax comes back, stay tuned.

Actually, it sounds like he's using Dallas as leverage on everyone. For the Lakers, it'd be to fire D'Antoni, although that ship seems to be sailed... and for the Rockets, it's to make them promise certain things about the offense and/or future acquisitions. That's the only thing that makes sense, to me.
