NBA execs would veto any such trade.

    Stay away!

His softness might rub onto Asik.

If we don't get Dwight, I'd rather rent Gasol for one season than blow our cap space on a 2nd tier guy like Millsap or Smith.

Teams are trading away picks the Lakers need for rebuilding. Of course they're shopping Gasol.

I think Pau would be a good fit for with Kyrie...

Why not? Only one year left on his contract. This would be a fine fallback plan imo.

Are we certain of that? I think I have read a few things lately that indicate otherwise. Here's an excerpt from one. Wish I could recall the others.

Of course, he could be amnestied, I suppose. The point is, that maybe the Lakers are willing to part with Gasol because they feel good about Howard returning. Then again, if Howard leaves, then maybe they are willing to tank next year in order to get a great pick in the 2014 draft. Almost impossible to read anything into this when there are so many directions the Lakers could go.

LA should have traded Gasol after their championship season.

Don't mind him as a player but not on that contract. No thanks

    Would prefer Carl Landry.

This must be emphasized. I see some posters fail to understand this concept.

Me too. But only if he willing to play in Houston. He said he didn't want to come to the Rockets, when his name came up in the previously failed trade.

We had no choice. They had Duncan, who turned back the clock. When our frontcourt improves, our shooting will become more efficient.
