that is something we havent thought about. We kept limiting ourselves to teams that can take back his salary.

If its a 3 team deal. A team that can take back his salary could flip him for a player they want on another team. So that opens us up to even more teams that may not even want T-rob but could get something they want with him and teams that cant eat his salary.

thats probably like at least 25 possible trade partners now.

I said the "anyone he wants" line in the obvious context of who is on the board at that point. I agree, if he takes the first-round pick, there's a Euro he wants. Just pointing out that we have very few details on compensation, and a high second or two could be an option.

A rookie doesn't make your starting PG expendable.

...Are you serious? Not sure why so many people on here get so high on rookies and think you can just insert them into a lineup just like that. Didn't last year's clamoring to get D-Mo into the starting lineup show anyone that?

Regardless, not sure how signing a late-1st rookie means we should get rid of Jeremy...

T-Rob to Bulls for 20th pick and then Bulls flip T-Rob to Nets for Marshon Brooks

Why does Clutchfans always focus on simple two-way trades when Morey nearly always does three-way trades.

Bulls aren't all that less likely of a trade partner simply because it's harder for them to do a simple player for pick swap.

    overthinking.

Bulls can do a three-way trade where someone else takes TRob and we still take no salary back

Not that Lin blows you out the water and is not expendable but Bev is a servicable starter on a team with at least 2 SUPERSTARS.....oh and Parsons.

Schroeder is a great prospect and reminds me of Bev/Rondo type...

This is a way to clear cap and upgrade the roster...in other areas ..PF?

Bev makes Lin Expendable....NOT SCHROEDER AS A ROOKIE......

Bev is more than ready to start......on this team anyways.

My fault, I meant with the Rockets specifically. Fans here hype up every single draft pick and start posting mock lineups which seem to have inserted every rookie we drafted that year. But obviously, especially with lottery picks, players will be starting and play well.

Not sure I'd be comfortable with a late first-round rookie playing a significant backup role on a contending team. Especially without having seen actual game time from him and getting rid of Lin for it.

And just as another side, I did mention fans ON HERE, if you read my comment properly.

Yeah, I actually agree with your point but every once in a while rookies are very serious starters they're first year, but almost always early lottery picks.

No, I agree. Obviously, most lottery picks will get a shot at starting on those teams. I just meant those late-end picks that so many people get hyped up about, who then turn around and say how useless those picks are when discussing trades that involve them.

I don't really think it's a debate about him, it's more about the plausibility of using a rookie PG to replace him in order to create more cap space and pursue another free agent.

If I see Morey move Lin for air right now, I will be super ecstatic because that means we are going for CP3 PLUS Dwight Howard. That is it.

Looking pretty likely that CP3 will re-sign with LA. So, if this discussion were to continue, one would have to figure out who we would be able to sign that's still a FA.

I don't believe this situation is likely at all however, so I don't see any point in doing the math.
