pats fans arent too optomistic about their offense without lloyd, welker, hernandez and an ailing gronk. someone posted a tweet regarding the hernandez thing and it said someone close to the situtation was quoted saying "assume the worst"
For Boston to release him, they must be pretty damn sure of his guilt. I'm guessing the acts committed by Hernandez that could be considered obstruction of justice and destroying evidence were enough on their own without a murder charge.
I'm pretty sure if he didn't kill him he was there based on common sense. Either way he was not going to play in the NFL this season. So sad that a human life is gone but very good news for the Texans. The AFC looks weak
There was an attorney on NFL Radio that said that the Patriots might not be able to get back the $12m signing bonus they gave Hernandez because of the timing the release. They released him BEFORE charges were pressed, which means that any clause in the contract that calls for termination based on felony charges or convictions possibly might not apply.
Or they have some insider knowledge... they could have been notified of pending charges before releasing him.
the pats ****in up.. gronk and hernandez both fell in the draft due to respective red flags. gronk with health issues and hernandez with character issues possibly related to gang activities. now at the same exact time hernandez is charged with murder and gronk will start the season on the PUP list after multiple surgeries including back surgery..
