Every person on the planet is a descendent of ancient africans. However quite a over hundreds of thousands of years, groups have moved away and undergone genetic mutations (that can be tracked) and have become their own non-African ethnic groups. ( Europeans, Asians, "Native Americans, etc.)


Bottom line.......if you are not black, you are not African........you are just a descendant of Ancient Africans. Black people are the true Africans.

Science disagrees with you. Race is a construct that does not apply in the genetic world. It is simply a word that humans invented to differentiate physical features but our DNA confirms we are all the same.

The only difference between an African and other 'races' is that their ancestors decided to stay in Africa while the others ventured to different places.

the truth is, genetically some white dude in Iowa might be more similar to a Nigerian than a Nigerian is to another Nigerian.

Are you sure about this? I always believed this, but then I believe I read some science-related articles that said a bit different. For instance, one said that all races - except Africans - appear to have some Neanderthal DNA. I don't remember the specific articles. All in all though, who cares? So, I guess I agree with the sentiment of your post but I don't know if it is entirely factually accurate.
