They wish that was possible. Perk + his contract = less than zero.

Amnesty is the only way they can get rid of him.

Silly Thunder. Missed the train.

Perkins is a limited role player and grumpy old man. He basically cost them a Durant-Westbrook-Ibaka-Harden lineup and perhaps a few championships.

If I were a Thunder fan, I would despise Perkins for eternity.

 

There is only one end to this. Amnesty. He is just horrifying now.

 

Perkins game reminds me alot of Wilt Chamberlin

Almost certainly did. Harden makes an extra $4-5m per year over the next couple years relative to Perkins, but made about $3m less this past year. Throw in the $12m they paid Martin this year, and they're basically cost neutral over the next 3 years (assume they use the money they would pay Lamb and the draft pick to get a replacement mediocre center).

The Rockets got more production out of Greg Smith than the Thunder got from Perkins.

 

I'd take a corpse over Perkins.

0 value > negative value.

 

So reading through this thread we all basically agree that Perkins is a big lump of sh*** that cost the Thunder a(multiple) championship(s).

 

Perkin's Future Expiring Contract has 2 years left. Helps me sleep at night.

 

The Thunder have been struck too many times.
