That's not a likely scenario at all. They just can't afford it. Who are they going to send Deandre Jordan, Caron Butler, and whoever else to without getting back any salary?

If you and jopatmc had a disagreement, would you both be wrong?

Alexander has never been a championship building owner, Morey hasn't really done anything but flip players and manage the cap (got lucky landing Harden), the coach goes an entire season without installing any plays (it's a damn shame when you have to run an isolation play after calling a timeout), and how serious can you take a team that gives a player $25 million after only a handful of good games.

Reasons why Howard will stay with the Lakers.

With all due respect, that's one of the more absurd posts I've read in the last few days. I was going to say stupid, but thought that might be too insulting.

Pfffffffffttttttt is about all the response I can give to your first two "points."

I do wish McHale had some more end of the game plays. Though he has been said to be a players coach and a big mans coach, both of which appeal to D12 more than D'Antoni.

You know, you are about to be flamed, but you have some good points. Both Les and Morey are overrated on this board, which in a way is understandable. Neither have set the world on fire. McHale is still proving himself as a coach and the Lin deal was obviously geared more to marketing than basketball. Harden is a wild card, no Texas sale tax, along with cap room to build around Howard, all good. I think he will stay in LA as well, but he should come to Houston.

Would you leave Phil Jackson? Because you know he is going to be in Dwight's ear now.

Maybe you can help me see from a different perspective here... What exactly did Morey do or didn't do that had a reasonable chance of setting the world on fire? And don't say "he could've got a star" give me a specific guy he refused to trade for or something.

Also, is there some story out there saying that Les refused to pay for a better team or something?

Don't leave because Phil is an adviser/consultant?

I don't think Dwight is going to the Clippers for a number of reasons:

    1) Lakers don't want to send their guy to a inter city rival
    2) Dwight will only get a maximum of 4 years AND will be taxed in LA (vs 4 years and no state tax in Texas)
    3) It seems unlikely that the Clippers are willing to trade Griffin for Dwight.

I'm not sure I would want to play for the Clippers after bailing on the Lakers, it would be like bailing on the Yankees and more money to play for the Mets and hoping that NY is still nice to you.

So you don't think he and Phil have talked? An adviser/consultant can still have a lot of input.

Whenever postbadlee says something is gonna happen the opposite ends up happening.

Vegas, it's time to put money on Howard leaving LA.
