There have been many plays over the past years of Andre just muscling corners like children. The Texans don't do fade routes because we normally had a great red-zone rushing offence, plus the Joel Dressen effect (wide open all the time). The end of last year, we had neither, and Kubs didn't adjust. That does not mean Andre can't do it, they don't call his number to do it. But to say he wouldn't be good when you have seen him muscle on top of people for years would be irrational. Everybody drops, PFF notes Calvin for having inconsistent hands earlier, but Andre would be just as good as those two.

The Texans had basically 2(maybe 2.5) great seasons of rushing offense in Kubiak's 7 years here. The rest of the time, AJ still never caught many TD passes. It's why the Texans have consistently one of the best yardage offenses even before Foster, but never scored on par with their yardage.

Our scoring totals have been pretty consistent over the past years (23/24), other than the increase this year. Even back then, Kubs still didn't call his card, but every Texan fan remembers all of Andre's "jump balls" that he secures over helpless corners. It doesn't matter now because we have Arian, but his inability to run fade routes was not the reason we didn't score proportional to yards gained.

I think its because they use AJ as a decoy, so another WR/TE is open.

Its like Calvin Johnson, he had almost 2,000 rec yards, but only got 5 TDs.
and Detroit doesnt have a great RB, that scores a lot of 1-5 yards TDs.

Stafford has 20 TDs, and only 5 to Calvin, why is that?
