I tried, but my computer blew up, and I gave myself carpal tunnel syndrome. Thanks, Obama...errr.....J.R.!
At first I felt bad about further derailing the thread, but then I just saw the other posts on this page and the one before and I can feel more secure in saying it isn't much of a derailment Right, it is an opinion because a subjective word is used. That's my point. And yes, sucks implies bad, but it can imply bad at simply something, not everything. A player above average can certainly be called a "sucky" player because there can be certain things he DOES badly. He would have to be above average on every statistical measure, while assuming there aren't things left that can't be statistically measured. Let me frame it for you -- a couple of yrs ago, Lebron would disappear in the 4th quarter or 'choke' or whatever, and plenty of people criticized for him about that. Someone then could have legitimately said Lebron sucks at basketball. They'd be narrow-minded and looking at only one facet of his game, but that would not be a statement of fact. The whole point is, using a subjective term to define someone in a statement can't turn it into a fact.
Word. I must remember, if I'm ever traveling through the south, to avoid Houston at all costs. If CF is any indication, that must be one mean, unwelcoming place. Must also remember not to wander out of Rodman's glorious gif thread when I'm here. Take a lot of care all....and please don't shoot me on the way out.
I don't know what's more ignorant: a) The incessant Lin bashing b) Attributing the feelings of a minority of CF users unto an entire city, many of which aren't from Houston or living here or c) Thinking your attempt at humor was warranted and/or successful
The Lakers are Kobe's team, and Kobe has a green light, and Dwight needs to accept that or sign with another team. It's as simple as that.
That was incredibly lame. "Dwight's our future." is just saying we don't have anything else to build on.
